Tommy's Pizza — Restaurant in Calgary

Order was wrong. When I asked for correct pizza I was told that it was my fault and that he asked me four times if the order was correct on the phone. Told me to come back so he can make correct pizza. Told him that one of the pizzas was correct and not to worry about that one. Came back and he made the one that I said didn’t need to be made. He blamed me again and yelled at me in the parking lot. Said he didn’t want my business. My friend and I left; stating how unfortunate it was because we live so close and love the pizza. As we left we showed him the receipt again with the number 23 and told him that he should know that 23 is meat lovers on his website. He shouted he would make the pizza. By that point we decided to head home. Such a bad experience. Unfortunate. I don't normally post a review but most of these reviews are not truthful and made me waste my time and money ordering from here. As I've lived in this community for over 20 years, this is only the second time I've ever remembered ordered from this pizza place. I couldn't remember why until after today. Told me my order would be ready in 25 mins, I went in after 15 mins and it was already done waiting for pick up so it would've been sitting for over 10 mins if I hadn't came when I did. The pizza was not cut properly, half the toppings on 1 slice would get pulled onto another. It was very greasy, the cheese was off as well as wasn't very cooked/melted. The first bite so was upsetting I could barely finish the first slice. I don't like to waste food or money so I choked back 2 more slices and what I could out of the toppings. This is a real review. It was alright. They do give you a good amount of toppings and cheese which is a nice change from many other places. Unfortunately, the dough and the sauce weren’t flavourful enough - there was hardly any sauce on our pizzas actually, but I don’t think more would’ve made it better. I also found the dough a little too doughy/chewy for my preferences, but it was okay. Definitely would get it over Pizza Hut which is slightly closer, but I’d be more willing to drive further for something better unfortunately.

Maybe it was the other reviews that hyped it up too much, maybe it’s just not my style of pizza. Unfortunately I wasn’t as impressed as I hoped to be. Will likely try again another time in the future and...
