Wai's BBQ House — Restaurant in Calgary

Cash only spot. Traditional Chinese style BBQ place. Operated by women butchers (not sure who the actual owner is) but I found that really neat and not something you see frequently. Food here is clean and wonderfully tasting without the extra greasy or salty tastes. Lunch box specials are one of the best values and deals for $10 - 2 items and it comes with rice and some sauteed cabbage. BBQ pork is nicely sliced (not too thick nor thin without much fat), the soy chicken was decent, the duck was delicious and chinese sausage was ok. Does get busy at times but everything is done in a good turnaround time....

Super friendly family-run place that makes Chinese style BBQ meats. They also have a $8 lunch special with 2 kinds of BBQ meats of your choice. Awesome value. Also have these Chinese sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. Came upon this place purely by accident since the previously posted hours on google map showed them being closed on weekends and close at 5pm. That is not the case, hours are now updated so everyone can find this hidden gem...
