I’m of central american descent, so I can tell you these papusas aren’t it. They have barely any filling and should they reallybe considered plain tortillas. I’ve never ordered from an el salvadorian place that doesn’t include curtido in the order, very ghetto. If your not feeling these papusas please try elsewhere don’t let this represent my peoples food. EDIT: So after reviewing what the owner has written I would like to clairfy a couple of things. The level of filling here is absolutely not acceptable no matter how ā€˜seasoned’ the person who made it is. You can barely taste anything but the tortilla, like I said an overpriced tortilla. I’ve orderd many papusas where red salsa AND the coleslaw were BOTH free & included. I have NEVER had an option for one or the other. Also this is the only restaurant on I’ve ever seen(I’m from Toronto especially) that charges $1 for cutlery on Skipthedishes. Reviews indicate other items are good in this business but I can’t recommend the papusas.

Great little Mexican grocery and grill just off highway 401 in Cambridge. I saw it while going through of one of the 2 billion traffic circles on Franklin and decided to come back to explore later and am glad I did. As you first enter you will see shelves of the grocery stocked with important mexican foods that are harder to find in Canada such as Hominey, canned tomatillos, corn tortillas and a great variety of sauces. In the deli case they have their fresh made Salsas (I recommend the Salsa Verde, very fresh and piquant but not really hot) There is a counter to order food. I recommend the Tacos al Pastor with Pineapple. I also ordered 3 pupusas which were delicious but I would recommend just getting the bean and cheese I did find the pork came through. The customer service was very very friendly. I definitely will be back.

Where do I even begin...by far, the best Mexican food we have had to date. The food is absolutely amazing! It's fresh, full of flavor. On our first visit, we had the chicken quasadilla and birria tacos. The meat was moist and filled with flavour. Everything on the plate melted in your mouth and left you wanting more. To add to it, the staff are beyond wonderful. You begin with the warmest welcome and great recommendations. If you choose to eat at the location, you will be checked on throughout the stay to ensure that everything is to your liking. We highly recommend this to anyone craving an authentic taste of Mexican food. Great food, amazing staff, and warranted return visits in the future!

I first found Uno Marketplace in June 2023 when I was curious if any local restaurants were selling Birria Tacos. I was just in luck to find this one. Ever since my first order, I've been hooked, and come back almost every Friday. The food is authentic and delicious, every single time. I've never had a poor meal from Uno; not even a "just okay" meal. On top of the food being the best Mexican I have ever eaten, the staff always go above and beyond. It's a joy to go into Uno and talk with their staff, who care about you as a customer and a person. They are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to give different recommendations and let you know about menu additions. They are also more than willing to customize your orders to your preference, as much as they can. I would far prefer to support a small local business who has stellar food and wonderful staff, than a chain restaurant, any day of the week. If you feel the same, or you're just looking for the best Mexican food in the Waterloo region (possibly in Southwestern Ontario), you have to...

After trying many different restaurants that claim they are authentic Mexican cuisine, this place is the best! The different selections of salsas and sauces they make are amazing. Now for their take out menu...absolutely amazing. Been getting lunch from this place for a couple days now and have tried many different items off their menu. Needless to say, I have not been disappointed with anything yet. Authentic food with authentic taste made by authentic people. Very great service from everyone that works there, always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have regarding their food or stock. I would give this 10/5 stars if I could. I will be back again for sure!!!!

edit three years later I still love this place and eat here regularly. The owners are amazing and as the years have passed since they’ve opened, they are always refining their menu with new and more local products. They offer catering services, chicken dinners which are absolutely amazing and extremely fair priced. Check them out today and ever day you...
