LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! I was given a gift certificate from a friend for my wedding for Mennonite Furniture. When I went there to check the place out, I was greeted warmly and taken on a tour of the show room. The selection of quality, handmade, solid wood products was impressive. My husband and I wanted to use the certificate to buy a dining room table suitable for 12. The staff was careful to help us choose the best wood type, furniture style and finish to suit our needs and budget.
When it came time to place the order, we found the process easy and the turn around time for our "custom table" (we didn't want a leaf in our table so we had to order an extra long piece of wood) was great. Once the table arrived, we were called promptly to schedule the delivery of the table. The delivery guys were friendly and tidy. They took off their shoes without being asked and didn't damage any walls, etc.
All in all, our experience was wonderful and EVERYONE that comes to our house comments on our "beautiful table." The best part - it was locally made with quality construction so it will stay in our family for generations. Thanks...
Read moreWe purchased 6 chairs and paid in full when we ordered them. When we arrived 7 weeks later to pick up our chairs, we were told we still owed $250. The lady who did our purchase made a mistake and undercharged us. She had scratched out the 'paid in full' stamp on the receipt and wrote we had an outstanding balance, which we were not informed about within the 7 weeks after ordering our chairs. The guys working the day we picked up our chairs were nice and agreed the company made a mistake and did not make us pay the extra. My husband received a call from the 'manager' a couple days later stating we had stolen the chairs and if we did not return them or pay the rest of the money within 10 days, she would call the police. She proceeded to yell at my husband, calling him stupid and that he was the stupidest customer ever. Needless to say, we returned the chairs the next day and got a full refund. We will never return to this store. The manager was very rude and should not be in...
Read moreLast summer, just before our first baby was born, we purchased a bed frame from Mennonite Furniture & Gifts. It is absolutely beautiful craftsmanship, with a simple but elegant design and incredibly easy to move and assemble. When the bed was too large for our bedroom, Nicole and Janet were incredibly gracious with us. At no charge, their builders adjusted the bed so it would fit our space, and the work was so flawlessly done that we couldn't tell it had been changed from the original design. We had expected that they might have charged us or refused to help, based on experiences with other businesses, but were pleasantly surprised that they were so helpful and kind, and cared that we had the lifelong bed frame we hoped for. And in time for our baby's arrival. Thank...
