Beachwood Corner Cafe — Restaurant in Campbell River

Walked in, wasn't busy as only one table seated. Not greeted, had to ask if I should choose my seat or wait to be seated. Sat down, waitress was there within a couple of minutes to take my order. After food was delivered I ran out of drink but was never followed up with a refill or asked if I needed anything else. I would have liked a refill and another napkin. Ten minutes after I finished my meal and still no visit to the table for cleanup or a bill. So I went up to pay. No one asked how it was. I paid and said thanks but no response from the staff. You want food poisoning come here. Nothing is rotated. All the food is held at room temperature. Nothing is properly cooled because there is no ice. All the fridges at summer where above food safe temperatures. The over head fan is not operating correctly causing the fan above the stove to crack. I decided today to be bold and take my 1.5 year old son out to breakfast, just the two of us. Our experience had me in tears leaving the parking lot. The staff here went out of their way to make this the best experience possible, entertaining him with his own coloring book and crayons (he even got to take them home), coming by to talk to him while he told stories (in baby babble), helping me out to my car with all of our stuff, and gifting us a toy as well!
