Fire Hall Food – Madoc Date of Visit: Sunday, July 21, 2019 What a lovely restaurant, run by a couple of really nice people. Friends of roguetrippers recently moved to Marmora, and after helping them with moving in and some home renos, we went for dinner at the Firehall Food restaurant in Madoc. It is an old firehall that has been converted into an eating establishment. The décor is lovely and very ‘fire fighter’ in nature. There is a lovely enclosed patio out back where you look out onto the river as you dine. The food options are very nice. Good meals with some great options for everybody. The service is exceptional. While I do not know this for a fact, I believe we were served by the owners. They took great pride in the customers and the service they received. The prices are very reasonable, and affordable. There is no parking for the restaurant specifically (at least not that we noticed) but there is plenty of street parking near by. We will definitely make this a regular place to eat when we visit our...

We decided to stop on our way home from Ottawa and try after reading a review posted 4 days ago about the new Madoc Firehall Food Fun & Friends Restaurant (where the Barley Pub & Eatery used to be). Very friendly owners and nice establishment with fire department related decor. Encountered other patrons that were from the area also extremely friendly, one that actually knew someone we know...small world. The kids all had the honey garlic wings and fries (that were very yummy) and my husband and I had he prime rib special, which included garlic bread/garlic bread with cheese or bruschetta, Caesar salad, cream or cauliflower & broccoli soup, then prime rib with vegetable (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and green and yellow beans) and a garlic mashed potatoes. Needless to say we didn’t leave hungry and took our apple pie and strawberry and rhubarb pie to go as it’s a couple hour drive home. Wishing the owners much success with their...

Stopped here for a meal on our way back from camping trip. The main hall was pretty busy, so we sat in the back. Service was great, although there was only one very friendly lady serving everyone, she was quite fast with menu and drinks. Food took a little longer to get to our table, but it was not a significant amount of time that would bother us. Our wait was totally worth it. Burgers were great, the taste, the structure, and toppings bonded together for one solid tasty burger + the bun that didn't get soggy and stayed in one piece while you finish your burger. Fries were crispy, just like we like them, just would be willing to have a little more of them on the side. Maybe it was just us wanting them more, as they just hit our taste buds so good. Overall experience was very good, can recommend for a visit, and if in the area will stop by again. For the food, maybe not the best burger I've tried, but it definitely...
