China 8 Fergus — Restaurant in Centre Wellington

Wow this was really good chinese food with lots of variety. Prices are on par with other Chinese restaurants around. They need to add their menu to their website. The menu is in Google maps buts it's hard to navigate.

Lemon chicken: really good, but a little soggy if left in the container for a while

Cheese wontons: these are tasty with cream cheese and crab meat inside. I would get this again. I have had better but only slightly. Would get this again.

Hot and sour soup: Wow tastes good and spicy. If you are a mushroom lover, this is a must have. Never had hot and sour soup with mushrooms, so a pleasant surprise.

Fried dumplings: just ok, nothing special.

Sweet and sour pork. Comes with sauce on it and is really good.

Chicken wings: actually better than I expected, so would get them again.

Spring rolls: not great, won't get again

Egg rolls:. Good, will get again.

Chicken fried rice: good amount of chicken and veggies in the rice and rice was very soft....

Really like the crab cheese wontons and Shrimp Mein Feng. All the food we tried was good although the szechuan beef could have had a little more spice and it seems like some of the food has changed since our first order. For example the egg rolls were bigger and better. This order i tried the Spring Rolls for the first time. What a disappointment. 2 of these little baby fingers with just a little shrimp inside for $3 lol (shrimp tubes) and everything is more expensive. Thought I would try this place again since they are on the way home. They aren't honoring the free app due to the GST. Ordered a large wonton soup and it isn't like usual size. Only got 1 small sweet and sour sauce when its normally 2. NOT COOL THE CUSTOMER GETS RIPPED OFF DURING THE...

Stopped on a Saturday evening for a quick take out order, nothing complicated. I was told the wait would be 15 minutes or so. I asked after 35 minutes and was told the food is coming. I recieved my order after 45 minutes, a rediculous amount of time for rice and noodles. As I'm waiting, I got a good look at the cleanliness and maintenance of the front of house at China 8. This place is filthy! In my experience, if the customer facing section of a restaurant is not clean and well maintained then the back of house is worse! Maybe, the owners should have their staff do some cleaning instead of sitting by the cash register playing on her phone. The food was good and fresh but I don't like taking chances with food borne illnesses so I will not...
