Swiss Chalet — Restaurant in Centre Wellington

Our family ate here on a Sunday night and left feeling embarrassed for ourselves and the establishment. We ordered the family meal that was posted as a special on the board and there seemed to be no problem, we paid, were give and number and some cutlery and told they would bring the food to our table. Fast forward a few minutes and there is unintelligible screaming coming from the kitchen area. A manager (Owner?) is very bluntly accosting one of the nice young people that served us. She then comes out to our table and rudely accuses us of ordering the wrong item for dine-in - there was nothing posted saying the family meal was not for dine-in. After the berating we received from her she tells us that she’ll allow us to eat the meal there and leaves. A few mini later a young staff member appears and gives us a take away bag with the food and then quickly grabs all the cutlery and says “sorry you can’t eat here”. I explain to him that the manager did say we could eat there and that they were to bring plates etc but those never materialized. Horrible service and mediocre food. Lots of better...

I am sharing on behalf of my neighbours, Sally Ramsay and Dale Allen. These ladies came in for lunch, each enjoying chicken and caesar salad, when a crouton became lodged in Dale's throat. They tell me that the staff were quick to respond with action, helping Dale to remain calm while they got her water to help flush the crouton out, and called for paramedics. With the help of a glass of warm water to soften the crouton, she was able to clear her throat just moments before the paramedics arrived. They assessed her and found her vitals to be stable and she declined to be taken to the hospital. These ladies would like offer sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff for their quick handling of the situation and care, and as well to the paramedics for their prompt response to what was a very frightening experience...

Incredible!! No matter the time or season. This location is always on point. Everything from the temperature of the food to the kindness and professionalism of there staff. Wow. Such amazement how this crew operates. These guys and gals need to teach other franchises how to operate. We come from Hamilton to go up North to Sauble and always stop in because of the freshness and always hot and great service. From the fries to the sauce the chicken ..... you get the drift Keep on keepin on. Head office should give y’all an award I’d give you guys a 8 star rating out 5. Thank you for all you do. DO NOT CHANGE A THING !!!! ...
