Very sad to share with you all my latest experience at this location. Itâs a rather small restaurant as far as real estate footprints go for McDonalds. You have to navigate a crowded dangerous parking lot. When the Tractor Trailer re-Supply trucks shows up they literally block the traffic flow, literally. Cars have to cut into the outside drive thru lane so they can leave.
Whenever you place an order, no matter the size, they constantly move you to a parking spot and run your food out to you in the parking lot while you watch people park, go in and come out with their food and drinks before yours arrives.
Last night tops everything Iâve witnessed here in the 2 years that I have been coming here. We placed our order, specifically ordered a âMcChicken combo with no lettuce and add ketchupâ. We got a top bun, bottom bun, McChicken Sauce, ketchup......ahhh lettuce and wait for it......NO McCHICKEN PATTY! Seeing as though we were driving to an appointment in Guelph we had no time to turn around and fix the error. I called. Then again and again. I left a voicemail clearly stating what my concern was and asked for a return call at 5:05pm (busy time I know). At approximately 9:00pm on our way back home I stopped in with my âMcChicken-less McChickenâ and asked to speak with the Manager on duty (everyone in the front was very helpful and also disappointed something like this could happen). When the Mgr. came out front he seemed to miss the whole issue. I told him I get that human error could push the wrong button on the register during when our order was being placed but what I couldnât accept was that the kitchen actually made the order without questioning it with anyone. Then this âMgrâ had the absolute audacity to say to me You would be surprised how many people place an order and request the main ingredient be left off it. I simply said to him people order something but say donât give me what I ordered but charge me for it. He said yes. Hmmmmm sounds like a teaching moment here.
I also asked if he had heard my voicemail from several hours earlier. He said he had not, that he had been very busy tonight. I asked for someone to listened to it and please return my call today. Itâs about 6:00pm the next day and no call. I may need to adjust my expectations to meet this McDonalds sense of urgency or Iâm going drive myself mad.
I get it, itâs a McDonalds, I know what Iâm getting into when I decide to eat at one - but my experience last night takes the cake
Side note - he did give me a free combo. Recap - I didnât get what I paid for and then got what I wanted for...
Read moreWhere do I begin? Letâs start with my first bad experience: Iâve had my order messed up many times but that hasnât stopped me from coming back because I know how stressful the food industry can be and itâs a simple mistake. I understand people make mistakes...
I came later in the evening when it was not busy at all or so it seemed because there was only 1 car ahead of me and no 1 behind me... I was waiting in line for over 4 min behind the vehicle and I realized the customer in front of me was probably a friend of the McDonaldâs worker because they were having a full out conversation, the worker sticks her head out the window and looks over to me who was already waiting for 5 min, and then proceeds to carry on her conversation. I wait for literally another 5 minutes, so I left. Maybe it was me but I donât think itâs right to wait for more than 10 min in line and not even be told it may take âlonger than usual.â
I tried making an order and in return I received the worst experience. Upon driving on the window The lady greets me and says âhi what can I get for you?â Me: hi can I get a poutine Her: absolute silence... me: waits patiently for 1 min (I was thinking maybe sheâs making my order or maybe sheâs new and is putting the code in) Me: after another minute of waiting my mom asks me whatâs going on why is it taking so long for her to respond. âHello are you there?â Her: hi welcome to McDonaldâs what can I get you?â Me: I just ordered a poutine. Her: whatâs that? Me: a poutine, you know, fries, cheese, gravy??????????????? Her: well I didnât understand you (in a very rude tone) If she did not understand me maybe she could have said âsorry I couldnât understand your order or sorry can you repeat that? Instead she blatantly ignored me even though I was waiting for her response. And her reaction is what set me off, I told her I will never come here again. Itâs funny because I actually love McDonaldâs but I will not support this location with their rude behaviour. To the owner of this location, maybe you should get a mystery shopper or even go yourself to the drive through and experience it for yourself. Both times it was a female worker and it was later in the evening this incident occurred a few weeks...
Read moreIf I can give 0 stars I would. I really dislike giving a bad review because it deters customers from visiting the place of business, but the owner needs to understand how bad my experience was. It was Victoria day and I ordered 3 ice cream cones and 1 Sundae. They charged me for 3 Sundaes and 1 ice cream cone. When I had received the 2 sundaes I stopped them and explained to them what I had ordered. The worker was confused and made a simple mistake which I didn't mind because I know mistakes happen. I suggested that since she had already handed us the two Sundaes and 1 ice cream cone that if we could get the ice cream cones, because my nieces really wanted the cones. Another older lady stepped and questioned the worker, the worker explained the situation and the lady literally grabbed the Sundaes back. Her demeanor was extremely rude and hostile. She literally yelled at us as if we were stealing when we had actually paid more. "YOU WANT THREE ICECREAM CONES TOO?!" Instead of APOLOGIZING and fixing the mistake she was extremely rude. I told her politely that they already gave us 2 Sundaes and 1 cone but we paid for 3 Sundaes and 1 cone. We ended up getting the 3 cones and the lady didn't even apologize or even acknowledge us. I had to say have a nice day and she smirked. That really upset everyone to the point where I went back in and asked the worker for the rude lady's name. She said the lady's name was Kat or Kathy. So basically to sum it up I was overcharged and the evil cat lady was very rude and bitter. I left and thanked the worker. First world problems...
