Ive been going for 2-3 months . Service is really not the best as there’s always 2-3 employees talking and not serving anyone. One morning at 7:20 one of the girls started patronizing 2 of us clients ( no other patrons as it was early) to take numbers and that they cant serve us if we dont … she was having a total fit . (Funny though as their tickets/machine was not ready) . Whatever pastries are good so who cares about an annoying employee ? Oh well … this morning i go around 8am . There’s one lady being served . I take a number (again bunch of peeps in the back talking) . As I wait one of the staff member is transferring pastries from an oven tray to the trays behind the cash WITH HER HANDS. No gloves, no freaking tongs . BARE HANDS and she is one of the girls that also operates the cash register. I promptly left and called . All i was told is : thank you for your comments . Its not hygienic and a big middle finger to clients paying this much for pastries to know that they’ve been handled with no regard to health and sanitary standards . NEVER GOING AGAIN. Yall should know...
Read moreFirst time visit. Nice place. Server was very friendly. Read another comment about speaking English is frowned upon. Most signs are in French, at least the ones I was looking at. I'm bilingual but spoke English because I am English. To date have had no real problem except that it's not respectful towards the English customers not to have English description. It just makes good business sense. Too many businesses get away with this.
They have a promotion that if you buy 3 you get the 4th free, great. The problem is when you get to the tarts and you take advantage of the promotion they insist that the 4 tarts be the same. Maybe for some people this is fine but for the majority I'm sure people would want to choose different kinds. This is definitely a mistake on their part.
Funny thing is some will allow you to take different ones and some won't. One business and different ways of working.
Guess I'll have to find another place that gives what the customer wants.
August 2024 bought some lemon meringue tarts and NO LEMON....

None of us—my in-laws, my girlfriend, or I—had heard of the place before, but the bright, well-laid-out interior caught our attention. It’s clean, inviting, and well-staffed, with several employees ready to help.
That said, I could’ve done without overhearing staff chatter about coworkers not pulling their weight—it’s not what you want to hear while browsing pastries. Still, the selection was impressive, with a wide range of baked goods at reasonable prices.
We picked a few different items to share, but unfortunately, none of them really impressed. Nothing tasted freshly made, and the flan in particular seemed like it had been sitting around for a couple of days. Maybe we’ve just been spoiled by Montreal’s fiercely competitive food scene, but this visit didn’t leave us wanting more. It was a nice stop in the moment, but not worth crossing the bridge for a...
