I had the unfortunate opportunity of visiting this establishment for a second time. I was unaware I could have a worse experience than the first, but alas, life is full of unfortunate surprises. We arrived at 6:30 with our reservations and were seated then we waited 40 minutes to have our orders taken while the rest of the tables were served and attended to by our "waitress". After finally taking our orders we had to wait another 20-40 minutes for our appetizers to slowly trickle out of the kitchen in random order. Our entrees did not arrive for another 30 minutes after our appetizers and if that wasn't enough the food was cold and three orders arrived late and one was admittedly forgotten. The plates are bear, bland, and are begging for a scarf to keep them warm. While the servers are unattentive and barely crack a smile. Nearly two and a half hours later as I listen to some blaring music vibrate my chair from the basement I've had plenty of time to formulate and write this review. Absolutely terrible. I hope I never have to endure another meal at this establishment and I hope you don't either....
Read moreMy daughter was married last Saturday - Sept. 30 at Casa Grecque on St Jean Baptiste in Chateauguay for the ceremony and Reception. I cannot say enough good things about this place. John, the Manager was incredible and at the heart of our success. He offered support and guidance. He allowed us to decorate the room, keep items in their fridge/freezer till her special day. He was always available to 'tweak' our requests and help with every step of this experience. John is a positive character, a simple leader that would allow YOUR event to shine. Food was great, time with family and friends were memorable. Staff members were professional and helpful before, during and after the wedding. Nadia stands out in my mind... her smile, helpful hand and willingness to do whatever is needed to make YOUR vision and happiness occur. Consider this venue for your special event... wedding, Grad evening or for dinner... you will not be...
Read moreThis is more of a review of Casa Grecque as a brand than the specific location. How is a bland and uncreative restaurant like this still in existence! They sell frozen re-heated food, oven potatoes with no seasoning, and bland rice. The plates are visions of old 90s restaurants, no life, no joy. There's a growing trend for fresh ingredients and good presentation, because you should never have to pay 30$ for this mess of a plate. I had the 3 "medaillons". They were super salty, and weirdly gray. They were between cooked and not cooked, just mushy. My wife had the fish.. it was the blandest thing we ever tasted. The "garlic butter" that came with was just oil. I won't comment on the service as we were in a wedding reception of about a 100 people, so it was slow, but they still did a good job handling the chaotic nature of it. Anyone reading this deserves a better plate of food, cook your own or find any of the better...
