I ordered a variety of things to taste this restaurant for the first time, and I have not moaned after every bite of food in a long long time! Literally moaned! Everything was soooooooo delicious and well made. They have the best butter chicken in south shore, and south of Montreal... it is to die for! just the way I like it on sweet side thick creamy, and not spicey! (I dislike spicy butter chicken or heavily spiced ), and the chicken pieces are big and fresh not hard and leftovers like other restaurants do. I have not had good Indian cuisine like this in a long long time. Generous portions, to die for Samosas that are big and falling apart fresh! The naan bread is huge and they also threw in some extras for me to try. The meal for one can be portioned for 2 you can just perhaps take an extra vegetable dish or the mixed entree platter like I did and you are set! Even the salad was so delicious! I am extremely happy with my experience. The prices are higher than most, but the quality and quantity is there at least for the price. I would recommend they make a tester menu that includes Chicken Korma as well. Definitely will become my go to Indian from now on. You cannot go wrong....
Read moreThe combos are totally worth it. Their meal for 2 is 50$ (25$ per person) and it comes with 4 different plates + an entrée, rice and naan. Getting individual plates is less interesting though, most plates with meat are around 20$ and they are the same size as the individual plates that come in the combos. Went with my wife and daughter (12y), had a combo for my wife and I and my daughter had a Tandoori chicken plate. She was still hungry after she finished her plate (remember it's 20$ while our combo is 25$ each) and we gave her some of our combo to fill her. So I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 for the fact that I find the individual plates a rip-off compared to the combos. Next time I'll take a combo for 2 for my daughter too and just bring the left...
Read moreWas craving Indian food but traffic was a wreck tonight so I tried Lal Kella on the way home. I’m depressed now. My normal Indian restaurant, you land up having a food orgasm it’s sooo good. You dream about the onion baji and the Korma. This was not it. If you don’t know better or never leave the South shore you’d say think was good. I’ve had the best and this doesn’t even come close. The Korma was overly sweet and all they had was white basmati rice. No Palao rice. The naan was dry and crispy. Never had crispy naan before....Price wise was ok, but if you think this is a 4.5/5, you need to get off the South Shore! Go to Gaj in Vaudreuil. It will blow your mind! Like every other restaurant I have ever tried in Chateauguay, it’s...
