Razzy's Roadhouse — Restaurant in Charlottetown

3 top. Ordered a quesadilla, a double burger, and a fish and chips. Didn't try the quesadilla, but my son said "it was awesome, but Smitty's is better". He had mashed potatoes as a side. The potatoes were lumpy to the point where I would be curious if there were any seasonings or butter or cream in them. There was also quite a large piece of black potato on the side of the scoop. No complaints from him though.

I had the burger. The bun was nicely toasted, I'll say that. But the actual burger... It was very dry. I can't say for certain, but it's almost as if the burgers are pre-cooked and in hot holding for the day. Not good. Could not taste the cheese on it, meaning the slices are fairly thin.

Finally, the main issue. My wife had the fish and chips. Fries were good. If you are going to go to Razzys, you should get the crispy fries. The vegetables were just peas and carrots, nothing special, but I wouldn't complain about it. The fish. The fish was like nothing I've ever experienced before, and I have personally been cooking professionally for over a decade. I've had par cooked fish before, and while it's never been great, Razzy's takes it to a new level. Somehow there was literally zero flavour. Nothing from the beer batter, a faint hint of flour and baking powder, which is not a good thing. The inside of the batter was mush, and borderline slimy. This happens when you precook fish and refrigerate it. Normally the flavours of the fish and the batter offset this setback, but this fish had no flavour. Like I had a piece of the fish alone and it had no flavour. A damn shame.

If you've read this far, congratulations! Time to talk about the bartender. The server was good. Nothing wrong with the server. But the bartender was trash. Razzy's has VLTs so while waiting for the food, wife gambled for a bit. As we were leaving, she went to cash in her ticket. After staying long enough at one side of the bar to notice the bartender wasn't going to move, wife moves to where bartender is. As she is doing so, bartender moves away to the other side. Keep in mind, at this time there was two patrons at the bar. After a bit more waiting, bartender takes ticket and holds onto money. As wife goes to take it, bartender puts money on the bar and walks away.

Great job guys, you made deciding where to eat in Charlottetown a tad bit...

Where do I begin: ....atmosphere {ambiance} is very nice, great with a candle maybe, the food is terrific, love the bar steak and fries and the gravy & mushrooms .....the beer menu is awesome and the staff are the icing on the cake. As much as I've only eat'in here the odd time due to my schedule and so forth, I've always enjoyed it, never once could I ever finish that 5 dollar bar steak special as good as it was, so much food....reasonable prices and like I said ......the staff are 2nd to none! ......I have no affiliate to Razzy's so I'm all on my own here giving credit to where credit is due. I took my girlfriend here just the other day for a beer, nothing else and it came to just a little more then 10 dollars, I tore out a 10 but said I'll have to use my debit card because I wanted to tip you "the waitress" ....she told me no sir that the 10 was fine "you only had a beer" ......might of only had a beer but she came over a couple of times during our short stay to make sure. you'll like the food & the service highly...

We arrived for supper a group of 4 adults and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The waitress was nice and took our orders and served us our drinks. Our food took almost 50 minutes to be served and was told many times our food would be right out to no avail. 2 people finally got their food, one a couple of minutes later and mine was at least 3 minutes later then theirs. The food was hot which was good. Gravy was lumpy. Waitress told us she would give us 25% off our meals for the delay. When the bill came my wife got a fish and chips , but wanted a garden salad instead of the fries, they charged her the full price plus an extra $5 for the salad. Will not be back here, this place used to have decent service, but has gone down hill. I know realize why there was no one in the restaurant when...
