Global Fusion Bistro — Restaurant in Chestermere

We went here on a Saturday night coz the city was way too busy and had no parking. We heard lots of good feedback , so why not? Tables were comfy albeit well loved sofas. Spacing was good. We were able to choose where we sat. Menus were given and there was a server right away. She mentioned drink specials which got me hooked! Drink was great! It's filled to the top, acceptable ice, sweetness and alcohol level. Try their Greek inspired cocktails! For starters we had their fried cheese! It is a bit expensive but, it was delicious! It's a whole show where someone lights it on fire. The cheese was almost 3-4inches on each side. Half an inch in thickness. Great crispness on the outside, gooey goodness on the inside. The freshly squeezed lemon was a perfect in accentuating the cheeseness of it and cutting off any greasy taste. 9/10 would buy again. For salad, we had the Watermelon, Feta , Almond with Balsamic Dressing. Ohmygosh, it was fresh and quite tasty. Watermelon chunks were just the right sweetness, huge serving of feta cubes, almond crunch gave extra flavor and texture, the Balsamic was just the right amount of tartness. Perfect summer Salad. For mains, my friends had burger and steak sandwich which was gone right away! The burger as far as I sensed was alright, a bit dry on the outside and smaller compared to usual pub burgers, pricepoint wise. The steak sandwich looked really good, my friend enjoyed it. Mine was Athenian Chicken on rice, potatoes and veggies. Veggies were perfectly cooked, tender but still with a bite! Flavorful rice and the chicken was perfectly grilled. Loved it! Ask your server for the dessert because they don't have a menu yet. We got the tiramisu which was so fluffy and soft with a mild coffee taste. Overall, the atmosphere and service were great. When this business was plaka, it was incredible. They had the best food in chestermere, and one of the best lamb shanks I've had anywhere. Since it turned into global fusion, it has changed significantly. At first, the changes were not very noticeable - they seemed to have the same chef and kept some recipes from plaka days. Now, well over a year later and things have really gone down hill. The prices for the quality you are getting simply just do not line up. The burgers are frozen store bought patties, and for 18 dollars I really expect more. The pizza used to be amazing, and is now soggy anytime i have it. The gyro meat is nowhere near fresh, I expect it's precooked then heated up to order. The restraunt is also in dire need of some upgrades/changes as many of the TVs (which there is way too many TVs for how small it is) are past due and their colors are wierd, and the booths have rips and wear from the years. The service, I will say, is always spot on. The wait staff that work here are always good and friendly, but with the decline in quality and the rising prices, I will be sad to see this place shut its doors, and I hope this place can get back to what it was when it...

Get outta here! Soooo good! Wow wow wow. Seriously the BEST Greek we've ever had. Friendly service with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food is crazy awesome! I can't say enough good things. My steak was seasoned just right and was a great cut and cooked to perfection. I didn't even really need a knife cause it was so tender. Potatoes and veggies were also seasoned to perfection. I'm obsessed...might go to bed tonight dreaming of just the nicely flavored veggies! Husband's pizza was cooked awesome and let me say one more thing about portions..... These days we always seem to overpay for the amount of food we get but not here. We were so happy with the size of our meals and will 10000% be back. Actually already planning a family dinner with the inlaws here now . All in all great food and great experience. We've heard of ppl talking about this place and happy we finally checked it out. Which brings me to marketing.....they need to get their name out there more. Even a sign out on the main street or something or multiple streets so when you get hungry you see the sign and consider them as an option! Just cause I want to see this place do well cause...
