My niece and nephew were in town with their little ones. We opted to spend one hot afternoon at the Chestermere beach. We decided that after the beach we would eat in there before heading back to the city. My niece and I had looked through the various options for restaurants available in the thriving megopolis of Chestermere. There are several good options but we choose the Global Fusion Bistro. We read the entire menu and had made our decisions. We also decided for my nephew because he really likes a good butter chicken but my niece isn't a big fan of it, so he always takes every opportunity to indulge. The restaurant is not in the major shopping area along the main road but it is off in a community area. It is situated in a newer strip mall. The place is quite big with lots of tables. DO NOT let the eaten up leather seats deter you from going any further. One of the little ones made quite the face when she saw them. But DO NOT let it deter you! Once we were seated, the waitress brought water and menus. My niece ordered drinks for the fam and she got mac & cheese and an order of kid's spaghetti right away for the kids. The drinks came right away and shortly after came the girls' food. It looked delicious. And it was. The mac and cheese was the cheesiest I have ever seen. Easily four or five strings of cheese hanging down with each bite. Wow! And the spaghetti was delicious as they make the sauce from scratch. Yum! I ordered the beef dip and my niece got the soulvaki, which was outside of her box. The beef dip was juicy and tasty. It had grilled onions and peppers with cheese. The au jus was not too salty. But the fries were to die for. My niece LOVED them. She got the soulvaki and devoured it. And that was amazing as she is kinda a picky eater. Now, my nephew was tired of being teased about us ordering him the butter chicken so he wasn't sure if he was going to. He asked our waitress what she would suggest and she said the butter chicken was so good and the butter chicken pizza was one of the best sellers. He got the butter chicken despite our teasing! OMG! It was so good! So good! And lots too! I can't say enough about the food. It was all so amazingly good. The fam had been in town about a week and we ate out most of the time. We all felt it was the best meal of the week. I WILL DEFINITELY be back for the butter chicken!! The waitress was a blast; she really added to the whole experience. Plus, the owner came out several times to check on us. He was so gracious, exactly like an owner should be. We enjoyed chatting with him as well. We had the best meal here! Definitely give them a try! They are a...
Read moreYou HAVE to try this place!! I'm one of those people who makes fun of fusion restaurants because they can't decide who they are, but this place . . . wow. They nailed everything -- Greek, Indian, Mexican -- if you have family members with different preferences, this is your new favourite restaurant. Also, have you ever dipped a fajita in tzatziki sauce? Oh my god. Yum. The management and staff were so kind and attentive, and when they lit the saganaki on fire by our table, I yelped like an excited teenager (I'm 50). I'm so sad that we don't have any restaurants like this where I live. One of the best dining experiences of my life -- and I've dropped $1000 on dinner before. The prices were more than reasonable, and the portion sizes were huge (enough for lunch and dinner, in fact). I'm raving. I don't normally leave Google reviews, but this place knocked my socks off. I'm coming back here whenever...
Read moreThank you to Ashu and his staff for a wonderful dining experience. We had heard about this gem of a restaurant from a co-worker and we were NOT disappointed. We ordered the greek dinner for two and throughly enjoyed every bite. The Moussaka was seasoned perfectly with a touch of nutmeg as it should be. The calamari was perfectly cooked. No chewy rubber but crispy outer shell and tender melt in your mouth goodness. The souvlaki chicken medallions were moist and flavorful. We finished with the Baklava of course😊 not too sweet, great flavor like a gourmet dessert. Our parents enjoyed their entrees the quesadilla and beef dip. Both were impressive with fresh ingredients. Ashu the blueberry strawberry compote on the cheesecake was a treat. We will most definitely be back to try other menu items recommended by your staff. You made us feel...
