DON'S DINER — Restaurant in Chetwynd

I just gave that diner a third chance. And every single time I’ve visited there’s been nothing but issues with service and the food. First time I went on my hour long lunch and they couldn’t bring out my one order of chicken wings within that hour. So I asked for my money back and left. Couple weeks later I decided to give it another shot and after waiting an hour and a half for a poutine and my boyfriends burger, the food they brought me and what it said on the menu were two different things. Today (a couple months later) I decided to give it one more go because I thought maybe it was just some openers glitches and I had gotten a gift certificate for Christmas. No! Today’s experience was just as awful as the other ones I’ve had. Not only did our waiter breathe down my back and make me extremely uncomfortable but I had to explain my order four times. My boyfriends beni sauce was ice cold making it hard to enjoy. After we tried to finish our food, we went to pay with said certificate ($50) our bill was $48 and they refused to give me my change. They said that it was impossible for them to give us our two dollars. In my opinion they did not even deserve that two dollar tip. I am absolutely done with this new place. This is a fantastic spot to stop with kids! The restaurant is connected to the community center, which includes a play zone for children. While my husband ordered food, the kids had a great time playing. Access to the play zone is free, but you’ll need to sign a waiver and supervise your children at all times. It was the perfect place to take a break on a cold, wet fall day, giving the kids a chance to burn off some energy before we continued our journey. It worked out wonderfully for our family! I really enjoyed lunch today. I had the Hunter's Burger and fries. Lots of flavor!! My wife had a California Chicken Wrap. Very delicious. My brother-in-law had the Salisbury Steak. Very very good. 👍👍. Our waitress was very busy but she always had a smile. Don came out of the kitchen to greet us and to make sure everything was good.
