Terrible experience!! I’m going to keep this short and sweet.
I booked for 5 days and stayed for 2 days. And got eaten alive by BED BUGS. Then when I ask for my money back or a new room they tell me they will refund back all my money but I have to check out now and not come back. Then as I’m leaving the property they tell me they can’t find my payment. Which was in CASH $730 +200 for incidentals... argued with several staff because I find it crazy 900$ + can’t be found. They tell me I should leave and come back on Monday. And told me if I don’t leave now there calling the police. then to make matters worse even after I left the property and made reservations else where, went to timmies for coffee. I get pulled over and the first thing the officer says is. We got a call from LAKEVIEW HOTEL saying your out side causing a disturbance but gives them my car information from the reservation. Now even the police stated. “We just got this call and I just seen you in the timmies drive through before I pulled you over so I know that can’t be all true”. Several staff members seen me be bullied and called rude names by the “GENERAL MANAGERS” at this location and had nerve to say to me I can’t get involved because I work here still. I’ve already took this to head office. I will get ALL OF MY MONEY BACK and you will be in trouble for running a hotel filled with BED BUGS from the oil field and construction workers that rotate out of there. TERRIBLE STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE STAY. Anybody that doesn’t believe me I have a copy of my receipt and pictures of the bedbug bites. Save your self....
Read moreFantastic staff, Dale was the most accommodating reception/reservations clerk, ever! I was on the end of a 15 hr drive from Vancouver when I decided to stop in Chetwynd for the night. I couldn't book online as I was driving so Dale took my reservation over the phone. She was patient and kind. When I arrived she had everything ready and wished me a good sleep, the room was spotless w commercial grade good linens, the room cool and up to date, compared to other road side hotels. I heated my dinner in the microwave, while I took a bath. Yes a tub, a small one but it did the trick w sore muscles. Most places only have showers now, so it was a welcome treat. Also a nice touch, the multitude of pillows. I prefer firm a flat and there was one for me. I slept right thru 8 hours. In the morning I wondered into the breakfast room for fresh brewed coffee ☕️ There were eggs, french toast, bacon, dry cereals and toast to name a few. Roxanne the host tended to our every need. There were several works crews and people in for a wedding, it was super cool to chat comfortably w such a mix of people, in the community breakfast room. Roxanne gave me advice on local hikes, what to do if you run into a bear and alternative bug spray for the variety of insects you encounter while hiking. I'll definitely be staying here again when my work brings me up here. I told my brother too! We always share our...
Read moreThis hotel had no internet at all. When you ask about it, the front desk staff are trained to gaslight you and insist that the fault is your computer. Even if they admit later that they know it doesn't work at all, they will still blame you (until you find out that they are lying). The second front desk person to gaslight me insisted that all internet in Chetwynd was slow and when I pointed out that I had a letter from the manager confirming that the problem was the hotel's internet (rather than the town's problem), Floyd continued to insist the internet is slow "because it is Chetwynd." Then he made that dismissive hand gesture telling me to leave even though I was a paying guest asking for a service that is supposed to be included. The breakfast lady was also coughing up a lung and serving food anyway (while wearing her surgical mask under her chin). The hallway carpets looked like they had not been cleaned in years. This motel is poorly managed, barely cleaned and had no functioning internet at all. The person serving continental breakfasts does not understand basic hygiene. Stay at "Lakeview" if you have rock bottom standards and you enjoy being gaslit. In fact it's perfect because even the motel's name is gaslighting as there is no...
