I have to thank Jaret and apologize as I had thought I left a review before now. I was intrigued by his website and looking for options for briskets for a family gathering. I picked up a pound of his frozen brisket and some bacon and it was a couple of weeks before we could get to it and did the boil in bag to reheat and it was absolutely out of this world. You would’ve thought it came fresh off the smoker that day. Subsequently, I placed a very large order for our family gathering for some fresh brisket, and it was the talk of the night and everybody absolutely loved it, not a single negative and we have a couple of avid pellet grill smokers in the family and they said it was as good as anything they’ve ever had or done themselves (and they are Southerners and do a lot of smokes so that speaks volumes). Thank you again Jaret. Was in Chilliwack for my daughter’s hockey tournament the weekend before the bad flooding. Bootleg showed up randomly in Google Maps and it was just a few minutes from the rink we were at. I checked out the website and was intrigued, got in touch with the owner to ask some questions, and placed an order to bring home. Threw it in freezer and then forgot about it. A few months later found the vacupaks at the back of the freezer and decided we better eat them soon. Did the boil in bag method to reheat it. Opened the bags and had a little taste while portioning it out into plates for the fam. WOW! So incredibly good. Easily the best BBQ I’ve had in Canada, and right up there with the best I’ve ever had. The brisket is particularly amazing, but don’t listen to me. I don’t want them to sell out and there be none left for me. It’s a 2hr plus roundtrip drive for me, but I’m already planning my next trip just so I can get more of this amazing BBQ. (I know they ship nationally too but I’m a cheapskate and a fool and would rather drive for 2 hours rather than pay a bit extra...

At first I thought it’s just a myth. A rumour. Then I met the guy and bought the holy grail of southern bbq aka AAA Brisket. It’s juicy, tender and has the perfect Smokey bbq flavour.

Everyone’s got their own way, it don’t matter but I love it with a lightly fried Desi home made Naan Or it can take the form of a quick sandwich for work.
