Today, despite the heavy rain, I decided to order delivery from this famous Thai restaurant that I know so well. As soon as I walked in to pick up my order, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel friendly right away. Their kindness brought a warm feeling on such a dreary day. As it was pouring rain, there was no one in the restaurant and most of it was takeout, which gave me a chance to chat with the staff for a while. The atmosphere inside is very warm and the environment is very clean. I decided at that time that I must come back for dinner next time.
I ordered green curry and shrimp cakes. The aroma of curry and coconut were very strong, and there was a lot of chicken. They are absolutely delicious. The flavor is amazing and has authentic traditional flavors that are often hard to find. After finishing both meals, I was so impressed that I went back to the restaurant and ordered the chef's special fried rice. The fried rice is great. The flavor of the fried rice is perfectly blended with the hint of basil. It has a unique taste. I highly recommend everyone to order this fried rice.
Btw, when taking it out, the they also sealed the curry bowl with plastic wrap to prevent it from overflowing, which was really considerate.
The excellent quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere convinced me to come back again to try more dishes, especially their other fried rice varieties and soups. Will definitely come back to visit this restaurant. If you are looking for authentic delicious Thai food in a friendly and clean environment this place is a must visit. I can't wait to come back and explore more...
Read moreWe visit Chilliwack often and usually go for Western food when dining out. Today, we were craving Asian cuisine, so we searched on Google and carefully read through the reviews. We discovered this Thai restaurant—not many reviews yet, but the ratings were excellent. The restaurant itself is cozy with simple decor, but it has a charming Thai ambiance. The server greeted us promptly and brought us two glasses of water right away. We ordered the deep-fried squid, shrimp cakes, Pad Thai, and the chef’s special fried rice. Our appetizers arrived quickly, beautifully presented with two intricately carved carrot flowers on each plate. The vibrant colors and thoughtful plating really boosted our appetites. The Pad Thai was unique—it came with noodles, shredded cabbage salad, and crispy wontons. The squid was lightly battered, allowing the freshness of the squid to come through. The shrimp cakes were perfectly thick and delicious, and dipping them into the sweet and tangy sauce elevated the flavor even more. Both the noodles and wontons were fantastic, especially the texture of the wonton wrappers. The fried rice was incredibly flavorful—each grain was packed with taste. Truly outstanding. Overall, this meal was an absolute delight. The quality and value here surpass many Thai restaurants we’ve tried in Vancouver. Highly recommended for anyone who...
Read moreOur first time...won't be the last. We actually came here as a 2nd choice when our first option was full. It was a happy accident! Only 2 sets of diners were in the small restaurant and it was a tad too brightly lit. It has the atmosphere to be cozy and warm, but with the bright overhead lights, it felt a little sterile.
The food however was crazy good! I got the penang curry with rice, and my guy went for Pad Thai. We started with spring rolls and unfortunately I didn't get a picture but they were freshly made, sliced diagonally and I could taste the fresh garlic and ginger.
My curry was so rich and decadent. It was a medium heat, and at first bite it seemed really spicy. It did mellow out as it cooled though and it was absolutely perfect. It was piping hot and obviously very freshly made. The Pad Thai got a thumbs up too.
The service was attentive without being obtrusive. It's family run and we felt very welcome. We cannot wait to go back. If you love Thai food and want it fresh and of high quality, this is your place.
4 stars for atmosphere only because it was so bright. If the lights were dimmed, some lighting on the tables it could be...
