Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Cold Lake — Restaurant in City of Cold Lake

Shannon was the most amazing 😍🤩 and beautiful server we seen. We camp at provincial lake and daily we had one or 3 meals here. Every day she became part of family. She is quick, smiles and be happy in all this high traffic of clients. When we drop water she nurture us with kindness and feel less embarrassed. I wish I have bigger budget to pay my server as she deserves it but I hope the review will add to her comfort. Every day is only 3 servers and they work hard and fast and carrying. Lyanne was the other server who attend us and she was equally amazing. This is a home from home. I home management can give them a big raise or a significant contribution as they keep this restaurant so clean, clients so happy and a home from home for many of us . Thank you Shannon and Lyanne for going for each client above and beyond and still keep a very fast past. Dress modest without seeing holy body parts enhanced our experience. They work long hours 😔, amazing. Food is as amazing as servers . Great job cooks and chefs. If I lived in cold Lake I will love to be part of this team. My friends and I went for breakfast on May 4th.

Our one friend was there already so we joined her. We waited 14 mins until I decided to go up to the front and ask for service. Once I did someone came to our table (not our server) took our drink and food order (we were ready to order both because of the 14 min wait). The same person who took our oder dropped off our drinks and ran the food to our table. Food didnt take long to come out and tasted good. Finally our server came over and quality checked us and we asked for our bills (we assumed it would take long get them). She brought them and we paid on the machine other then one girl, she paid cash. The server said "I'll be right back with your change" she brought back her $22 in change and the server stood there for no joke 10 seconds waiting for a tip in silence (tips are not a guarantee, also she only quality checked us and brought the bill) of course she left money on the table for a tip but it was extreamly awkward silence of her waiting. Bathrooms were well stocked but paper towel all over the floor...

I'm going to give this location a solid 4 stars , I arrived right at the peak of the lunch rush there was only 3 staff working the dining area , it took a few minutes to be seated but that's fine , I observed a few of the patrons grumbling about the service but if you'd open your eyes and see that the 3 ladies where running their tails off to make sure everyone was happy but that's typical of most people, my meal arrived within 10 minutes of me ordering, soup was tasty burger was alright too , just average food which I expected from a chain restaurant, I received several quality checks which was awesome , paid my bill and the hostess - waitress- bus lady apologized for the wait and I stated dont apologize to me the service was great , I visited the washrooms on my way out and they were immaculate, paper towels instead of hand dryers so I could open the door without using my bare hands anyways, great experience and hats off to the staff for their...
