Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with what we believe to be the worst and most overpriced pizza we've ever had. Yesterday afternoon, my wife decided to use a gift card to order a large Tropical Chicken pizza with extra sauce, along with added peppers and black olives.
When she brought it home and opened the box, we were shocked by how the pizza looked. The toppings were all clustered in the center, with very few spread across the rest of the pizza, including the cheese. Given that extra toppings cost nearly $5 each, we expected more than just a tablespoon of them. The first slice tasted like cardboard—where was the sauce? We could hardly find any, and certainly not the extra sauce we had requested.
If we hadn’t lived almost 40 minutes away, we would have returned the pizza for a full refund. This was, without a doubt, the worst pizza we've ever had. It’s ironic, considering "Pizza" is in their name. After this experience, we won’t be returning to any Boston Pizza locations.
I did share my feedback with Boston Pizza through their website, as they suggested, and received a prompt response along with an offer for credit at their location. Read moreBoston Pizza used to be one of my go to places for a quick sit down dinner. The last 2 times I've went, there have been issues. The more minor of the two issues is that the server we had last time was very absent. Only came around to drop off our drinks and take our order. The food was run by other servers/expo staff I assume. Our server didn't come to check on us, and waited until we were well ready to pay to make an appearance.
The bigger issue is with management, unfortunately. I had tried a new menu item to me which was the Mac and cheese. I ordered a chicken breast on it aswell. The chicken was extremely dry and the Mac and cheese I had a couple bites of. It tasted as if it was made with milk that had gone out of date. Our server was very accommodating and kind, and got the manager to come and talk to us. I told her the issues I had with the dish, and in response she said that there was nothing she could do, as the meal was made to spec. She came off as very rude, and annoyed that she had to come over to talk to me. Ultimately, I paid for a meal that I had 2 bites out of and tasted spoiled.

I specifically requested that the pizza be delivered at 5:30 as I was still at work and would not be home until then. I got a call at 5:00, and when I answered nobody was on the line. I got home and waited until 5:45, then called to see when we should expect it. I was told they had tried to deliver it and had called, but nobody was home and the person who answered the phone just mumbled and hung up so they took it back to the restaurant. I explained that I asked for it for 5:30 because nobody was home until then. They offered to deliver my now hour old pizza, which I agreed to as they said it was still fresh and hot. I called again to explain and was told it was on the way. When I explained to the driver, he said they would have been remade fresh, but I told him that these are the pizzas that had been sitting for an hour. The delivery driver was the only friendly person I spoke to who seemed to care about my order. My cold pizza is certainly not delicious and my valentine's surprise for my grandchildren...
