We were heading to my moms funeral the Saturday before mothers day with 3 children . We read good reviews so decided to stop. We love trying new places and the place was cute. We go that way often .We also looked forward to trying the food and having a relaxing break. We went in and realized it was full. It looked like several people were finishing up. So decided to wait. The waitress passed and looked at us ,then dropped napkins at a table. When she turned around and passed us again she said ( I'm pretty sure were full but you can check ). We said we had but were content to wait. She picked up to plates of toast and passed us a minute later and repeated ( We are full ). We got the hint and went across the street where we happily waited a little while to get in. But had awesome ,friendly service from the run off her feet waitress . She made us feel wanted. Made the children smile and got a 25 dollar tip on our 70 dollar bill. . Thanx Maggie May's. We know to not bother stopping on our...
Read moreMeal was okay, service was good. The three star review is specifically for the vegetables with the meal which were cold and of poor quality, I bit into a piece of cooked carrot which was so old when harvested that the core was like a piece of wood. Never saw this before in a carrot except for the few I left overwinter in our garden when I was a kid. It was a little science experiment and since carrots are biennials I wanted to see what they would be like in their second year; woody and inedible. That's what I had on my plate. The meat was excellent and the potatoes were fine. Just hope the establishment will pay a little more attention to the quality and presentation of the...
Read moreDecided to stop in this past weekend (may 11) based on the wonderful reviews. Sadly we wish we hadn't. We walked in and the place was pretty full except for a reserved table. Not uncommon for a Saturday. We stood at the door waiting for a table to become available. When the server finally walked by (no, she didnt stop) she said 'you can look for a table but there aren't any'. So we continued to wait. When she walked by again she very rudely said 'I said there aren't any tables!'. It's not hard to have some form of manners even when you are busy. My 9 year old even caught it and stated 'Wow, she is rude!'. Needless to say we turned and left. Don't waste yout time and go...
