The Canadian Brewhouse (Lloydminster) — Restaurant in City of Lloydminster

We attended their New Years event and it came with a reward/coupon for a free order of wings every Wednesday for a year as long as you purchase two beverages. My friends and I have been taking advantage of this, most weeks during 2021 so far.

I enjoy their maple-bacon flavoured wings. It's a flavour that's not too common around town, and I love it.

The service in general over all the weeks we've been coming to the Brewhouse: service can be pretty slow. Food can come out relatively fast (sometimes), but drinks and pop refills can take a while to come, even though you can see the drinks sitting there on the bar. It can also take a while to track down your waitress to order food, or ask for a refill or for the bill. Slow service. Friendly, but slow. And the food is mediocre (priced too high for the quality) and doesn't make up for the slow service at all.

In terms of regular entrees, I've had their burgers in the past and was never impressed. They taste pre-made and frozen. Not hand-made and fresh, like at The Proper. Definitely not my favourite burgers in town. I only really come to the Brewhouse for the free wings. If we didn't have the free wings coupon I wouldn't be coming back because of the slow service. I am, however, looking forward to attending one of their tomahawk steak nights. I've always wanted to try one of those. The Brewhouse does put on some pretty gnarly events. I hope they cook it right though; I've had a steak at the Brewhouse in the past - both my wife and I ordered our steaks rare. Hers came out perfectly but mine came out blue. I still ate it and didn't complain (although maybe I should've). Another time I ordered rare and it came out medium. So it seems to be a bit hit-and-miss. I'm hoping with the price of the tomahawks they come out as ordered. We shall see!

EDITED TO ADD: Service is really unbearably slow. Every week. Today we were sat for 30 minutes while waitresses passed by to attend to other tables, before we finally flagged our waitress down to take our food order. Fifteen minutes later my wife ordered some onion rings too. Another while later her onion rings arrived but no sight of the rest of our food. 10-15 minutes later that all finally arrived. I later asked for a box to take my leftovers home in, and that was forgotten and took forever. Service unbearably slow to the point I didn't want to give any tip at all. Inexcusable. Go visit The Proper to see what REAL service is about! These waitresses all need extra training on how to not neglect a table. Especially when they are sat out on the porch - as that is when we are so forgotten it becomes excruciating. Slow service happens every week; this is not an isolated incident. Even when we are sat inside right by the bar it can be hard to flag down our waitress. They always seem to be rushing by so busy, but never giving us any attention. Went for brunch with family and friends. So we sat in the kids section, it's ok. Small though. They ran out of seating for others. But decent game selection and board games, behind the counter. But they only had five loonies for change and expected one to use bills. Once seated waitress was close by. She did not take all the drink orders, so some adults had to wait. Then failed to take all the meal orders and again some of our party had to wait, while others were eating. Then being where we were, there was at least 10 to 15 flies all over the area. I started killing them any way i could, it was nasty. On cups and landing on food. Pretty sad, what's the kitchen like? Then getting coffee refills where a struggle, had to continually ask, Had to ask for 4 times for a Bailey's and coffee. Getting additional cream and sugar needed to be asked. So i would go back to sit at the bar, not for family gatherings. It was only a few minutes into opening, so they weren't bogged down. But others with kids had to go elsewhere. And no manager was on-site. Disappointed. Oh but the deep fried French toast...

Start off with we weren’t acknowledged until we’ve sat for 15 minutes, not one of the servers had a smile or warm friendly greeting just horrible experience,Also I’m gonna say it wasn’t that busy at all when we went in ,Pretty bad service me and hubby go in for late lunch and we order our drinks and we said it clear as day and yet she goes to the computer and comes back still asking us what we wanted to drink, it also took her 10 minutes to get us drinks asks me if I want another drink takes another 10-15 minutes to bring one drink I just think the servers weren’t trained properly,I made it clear I wanted a certain sauce on my sandwhich I said it twice and yet never got it on my sandwhich had to ask a different server to bring me the sauce, not to mention we made it clear we wanted our cattus chips to be our starter and yet we get our meals first and those last and not to mention they were cold!
