The Salmon Benny was cold. Some of the potatoes weren't fully cooked because they were unevenly cut into cubes. The best part of my meal was the sourdough toast I ordered on the side. Coffee was good too. The servers were very nice and gave us a free dessert, brownies with ice cream. The restaurant is clean and the environment is welcoming. Also, came for supper last week and the War Wonton was delicious. Unfortunately, the combo dinner was subpar. The fried rice was uninteresting, the spring roll was bland and there was not a lot on the plate. The chicken balls were decent but not enough sauce. Honestly, a hit or miss. Don't know if I will come back.

This restaurant shares a parking lot with the hotel we stayed at. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from outside but is very cute on the inside. The staff were lovely. The menu had both typical “dinner food” as well as “Chinese Canadian food”. The best part was, the menu held a variety of delicious gluten free options! We had a noodle dish and also the beef and Brocoli with rice. The portions were massive! The vegetables were fresh and well prepared. We will definitely return when in town for our next tournament.

Had lunch here on Dec 9, 2022 with some friends and it was a great time and the portions were huge and the restaurant was very clean and well maintained and their service was friendly and fast and the food was delicious and very well presented and I would definitely recommend this place for sure and the price was fair.

First time at The Diner, but it was highly recommended as the best Chinese Food in Lloydminster. Definitely would not know it based on the previous review photos as there were no pics of Chinese food. I got 4 dishes for takeout (Dec 17, 2024) and everything was GREAT. ONE thing that is funny is the online review system has 20 dishes you can pick from in your review that you would recommend and NOT ONE of my dishes was on the list; BUT I would highly recommend them all! BONELESS SWEET & SOUR PORK GINGER BEEF BEEF & BROCCOLI SPECIAL FRIED RICE WITH SHRIMP, CHICKEN AND MUSHROOMS I ALMOST never ordered the Special Fried Rice because almost $2 more than the other Fried Rice options BUT GO FOR IT - one of the best fried rice dishes I have ever tried!! For those who don't know where it is located, and want to try THE DINER, it is directly across the parking lot from the front doors of Spiro's, another great food option, and in the same building but opposite corner...

Well, what can I say about The Diner? I've been numerous times, and EVERY time the food and service is top notch, spectacular. I love their breakfasts. I've tried their French toast and pancakes but my favourite is their strawberry bubble waffle (cream on the side, as they put on a LOT!).

I also enjoy their milkshakes and their Great Scott burger which involves an egg (runny yolk!) and hollandaise sauce. Don't knock it til you've tried it. Handpressed patty and a delicious bun makes this one of the top burgers in Lloydminster, easy.

Kim and Chase are warm and welcoming, very professional, and great at their jobs. If I could afford it I'd tip them 500% of the bill.

It's also affordable and a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. I go to dine there on my own quite a bit and never feel awkward.

I hope The Diner is here for a long...

My wife and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at this restaurant, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Our server, Gia, provided outstanding service, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The Chinese food we came for was fantastic, but Gia's recommendation of the crab rangoon and homemade cheesecake was a delightful surprise that we couldn't resist, and they were absolutely divine! The food arrived promptly and hot, with generous portions which we ended up having leftovers for lunch the next day. Thanks to the great service and the delicious food, we've found our new favourite spot. We'll definitely be returning regularly. Highly recommended!
