During my vacation from St. John’s to Terra Nova, I visited this Tim Hortons store. When ordering a steeped tea, I asked and requested the order taker if I could get a tea made fresh. She seemed offended and said that everything is fresh. I mentioned that I work at Tim Hortons and am particularly interested tea from fresh brewed tea pot. She responded by saying, “I don’t know how you guys work there, but here everything is fresh.”
I felt disrespected by her attitude and the way she handled the situation, showing a lack of customer service skills. I chose to ignore her after that because making a scene would affect the store’s reputation. It was disappointing because Tim Hortons is known for its consistent standards and quality, which is why the brand is successful. I felt very bad when she questioned how we work at our location.
I stopped there during my trip and ordered some food around 4:00 PM. The person who took my previous order was very nice and helpful. However, at 4:25 PM, I ordered just drinks, and the staff member who took my order had a bad attitude. I also work at Tim Hortons, and during our training, we learned that we sometimes have to go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I don’t understand why she behaved that way. She also didn’t have any name tag on her shirt, so I don’t know her exact name.

Read moreWaited 15 minutes for two sandwiches and a soup, I would be less mad about it if they didn't leave our order on the counter for 5 minutes before bagging it and handing it over. The forgot to give me my roll and a spoon for my soup. There were at least 10 employees in that store, and as someone who has worked for Tim Hortons, that timing was horrendous. I understand that they were busy, but why were customers getting their hot food before us, as it goes by your order sequence it should be given in that same order. Myself and my boyfriend both work for high end restaurants, and we were less than impressed by how slow these people moved when they were so busy. Also, screaming through the restaurant to your Baker in the back for backups isn't professional. Maybe teach them...
Read moreOrdered through the mobile app. The app picked up TCH Clarenville instead of Gander. As soon as I hit placed order, I noticed the mistake and immediately called the store. Was given a run around and asked to call back in 10 mins. I did so and was told they spoke with owner and there was nothing they could do. It was a $28 order that was not made by the time ai contacted them. Good customer service would be to at least offer the Oder B filled at a later date if not refunded. Needless to say my next Tim’s stop will NOT be at a Clarenville location. In hindsight I should have put the word out for someone to have enjoyed lunch on me instead of trying to cancel the order and saving owner $$$. Not a...
