Harvey's — Restaurant in Clarington

Went Fri night 10:30pm, all condiments and toppings for burgers were gone. My husband asked for a fresh Angus burger, as the guy working had a bunch if cooked patties sitting there for awhile that he was just heating up when someone ordered. Meanwhile my chicken burger sat there getting cold for 5 min while a fresh one cooked. The guy cooking burgers started sweeping floors and then walked back into the kitchen WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS and handled the food. He then pulled wet paper towels covered in something from the garbage and walked in back with it, came back and was handling burgers. I WAS LITERALLY flabbergasted. The fact that these workers were not washing hands & not wearing gloves is unacceptable. My chicken burger had 5 small pieces of lettuce on it & the rootbeer, was undrinkable, not sure if something was wrong with carbonation. We stopped here a couple weeks ago on our way home to grab some dinner and it was one of the best meals I have gotten from this location. We are a family of habit and coupons and generally order the same thing for the most part. We have been to this location several times before but on this night they were great! We got original burger meals with onion rings and a Pepsi. For starters, the Pepsi out of the fountain was more fresh than opening a new can or bottle which we all know is extremely rare. The burgers were made to our liking and absolutely loaded with toppings. The onion rings were cooked perfectly and we were given such a large portion! The girl that night was friendly, nice and polite. I would have given it 5 stars if it was based solely on this one time but there have been a few times where it was not so great. I hope the staff that were there that night keep up...

Update - really disappointed. My daughter picked up drive-thru for three people. One person didnt get their onion rings and the dipping sauce for their chicken nuggets was missing. Another didnt get the burger the way they ordered. The last didnt get the chicken sandwich the way they ordered. My daughter had carefully read back and confirmed the full order with clear language so this should not have happened.

She would have gone back to get it corrected but it would take too much time and everyone resigned themselves to what they received. No one enjoyed their meal. I'm lowering the experience from four stars to two.

If you are a business that offers drive-thru the emphasis should be on getting the order right. The occassional error is forgivable but this was a complete fail.
