Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Cobourg

Based on my most recent visit, this Pizza Hut location has become a lost cause. The food is still passable, and I've never personally had a problem with the service in any of my many past visits, but I have found the dining room to be just too gross for my liking. This latest visit was beyond over-the-top. The carpets look like they haven't been shampooed in several years with the dark crust of kitchen grease and street grime quite evident where the tile floor ends and the dining room carpet begins, and the crust gradually fades as you progress inward to reveal the carpet color. The booths are a jewel-encrusted wonderland of dried sauce, hardened cheese, spices, and other drippings that were not properly wiped up. One booth was unusable because the bench seat bottom was caved in to the cavity below. I don't even want to think about the lovely grime and goodness that's hiding down in the cracks and crevices of the booth seating. Window shades/blinds covered in dried splatter, presumably pizza or pasta sauce, mixed with soft drink (makes you wonder how THAT got there...). The booth was pre-set with cutlery, and my server took away the two extra settings, leaving just two of the four. Both knives and forks looked like they had waved hello at the dish pit, and then turned right around and marched back out to report for duty again. They were dry, but you could see food dried on. I found some extra paper napkins and "polished" up the cleanest fork and knife that I would be using. Sorry PH, but as easy as my standards might be on dining out, this location has fallen below what I consider to be acceptable. Disgusting, strong as that word might be, would be my best choice of description for your dining room. Heaven knows what your kitchen area looks like. You've lost me as a customer. When you build a new location and open it up, I'll come back and try it again. The place as it stands now seems hopeless. You won't hire any staff who care enough to do any more than sling out drinks and drop off cheques, but I bet they're there waiting in a line come payday looking for their pay stub. Whomever is the "manager" there now has poor eyesight and lousy standards. I'd be embarrassed to be an employee at this location, and until you clean up your act, I refuse to be a customer...

"Open until 10pm". Tried to place my order starting at 4 times through the app starting at 9pm with 4 different payment methods including just pay at door option since there seemed to be card processing issues. "Okay, it happens", I said to myself. Spent 20+ minutes doing this, Pizza Hut app said to "call the Hut".

Tried calling (as prompted) right after the 4th attempt at 9:25pm to place my order over the phone, sat on hold for 8 minutes, at which every minute marker the recording told me if I "didn't want to wait I could order online". Gee, thanks Tips, how wonderful.

You might be asking right now, how is this the store's fault? Well, once I finally get through to a human, the service agent stated the stores don't like to deal with people so they send them through to the national call center instead of answering! Lovely, and now I sat on hold for so long I missed the delivery window which ends at 9:30 (how interestingly convenient...) and could no longer have food delivered, but "not to worry", says the agent, "I can go pick up." Oh can I? Can I really? jumps in excitement

Now I sit here wondering if the store has the option to just decline an order because they don't want to work. If not though, I guess maybe you shouldn't have sent me to the call center and should have answered the phone. Don't worry I won't make you work again, I'll take my...

I would give - reviews if there is any. I just ordered veggie lovers Saturday deal. Order number : 197 ( January 9 ). I think this store needs to revised their employees work and quality. The pizza looked amazing but toppings are heavily put in the middle and not cooked as well. There was not enough sauce. All I have eaten is some warm pizza dough. It was not properly cut so when you try to have slice. You won’t be able to pick entire slice. You would have half cut slice on your end. So again what you have is warm pizza dough without pizza sauce.
