Hard pass on the breakfast next time for me.

Walked into the restaurant to be immediately greeted with the door closer hanging off the frame. Was seated fairly promptly and ordered a bacon & feta omelet with a poutine hollandaise home fries with toast and wife ordered a Mediterranean Benny. Daughter ordered a waffle with bacon. While the restaurant was practically empty the food took forever and the server never really came back to see if we wanted our beverages topped off. The other server looked over in what appeared to be concern but didn’t really assist the matter.

We finally get our food and the wife’s Benny looked quite paltry compared to similar restaurants Benny meals. Perhaps it was the small eggs and the micro hash browns but our portions in general were on the verge of being below average.

My meal had to be sent back as the poutine did not appear on my plate. 7 minutes later my food reappeared as everyone else finished their food. I found it extremely odd that it took that long just to put cheese on the home fries. The hollandaise itself was tasty. The omelet was more of a mixed western with bacon and feta but it didn’t quite taste like the feta I’m used to. At his point I didn’t really care too much over the entire experience as I was starving. Sorry forgot to take a photo as I was ravenous by that point.

Daughter received a decent waffle with a side plate of bacon (again kind of odd not to be on the same plate but not the end of the world). We were packing up waiting for the bill when the waitress recalled she had to bring jello for the daughter but decided it was a to go thing instead of giving it to her with her meal. Then forgot the spoon. Kind of unfortunate.

So sadly the entire first time experience pulled my mood down and is reflected in my review. Perhaps I may try the seafood lunch/dinner but right not I’m disappointed enough that I may not just bother. We had tried to get into this place one other time and the waitress tried to shove us into a tight corner where neither my wife or I could even get between the table and the chair so...

Palladium family restaurant was beyond horrible. The Spanakopita was burned and oozing oil. Mussels had sand and beards. Rice pudding was pure mush and mixed with fake dessert topping, not whipped cream, you could barely find the rice grains. Seafood platter had a super sweet batter and you had maybe 2 ounces of haddock jerky under a ton of sweet batter. The calamari dinner and appetizer both had the super sweet batter as well. The calamari dinner was a joke, it had only 7 calamari rings and not even 2 ounces of coleslaw, the French fries was the only edible part. They serve marinara sauce (terrible) instead of tzatziki, I thought this was a Greek restaurant! The deep fried clams are done in the same sweet batter ( horrible) and everything was super greasy. The chocolate cake was dried out, so much for the best chocolate cake! Neither the Greek salad or Ceasar salad had a dressing on them, although a tiny 1 or 2 ounce container had commercial Italian dressing in it, and didn't match either salad. Unfortunately, all deep fried items were not edible, due to the very sweet, greasy batter. The moussaka had a very hard overcooked bechamel topping, the bottom was also burned, it was served with dried out rice. I have some videos I would love to publish. Our family celebration dinner was completely ruined because it...

If you're searching for a good spot for breakfast in Dartmouth/Cole Harbour area, check out Palladium.

My friends and I like to catch up over bacon, eggs and coffee every now and then. We used to go to Steak and Stein for a basic breakfast but when it closed we were left without our regular spot.

Personally, though I enjoy the trendy spots, or the breakfast extravaganzas like Pur & Simple and Coras, I find them very busy and they often have a line up out the door.

Palladium is the kind of place that will serve you a standard breakfast and let you sit and catch up over coffee and that's just what I want sometimes.

The service is awesome. They are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee mugs are huge! None of those tiny cups for this place. Atmosphere is kind of old fashioned and homey, which I don't mind.

I had the classic eggs benny both times I went and they were so good. Reasonably priced at around $15 bucks. They also have Mediterranean and Greek versions on their menu. There are lots of omelets to choose from as well as classic bacon, sausage, ham and eggs. I like their grilled potatoes which...

So glad to be able to eat at Palladium again! I had the Eggs Benny Poutine, it was ooey, gooey, tasty and filling. The hollandaise lasted til the very last home fry was dipped and there was a lovely mess to sop up with my toast. It was everything I wanted it to be. Hubby had the Clubhouse with Fries. His sandwich was full of fresh roasted shredded turkey and fixings the fries were hot and crispy. We devoured our brunch! The service was perfect. Our server was very pleasant and always smiling.
