Sushi 101 — Restaurant in Cole Harbour

Honestly a bit disappointed. I've been there twice now and although it's not that the place is bad - it's just not fantastic. Sweet potato rolls are absolutely amazing - the tempura was still crisp in the roll. First beef teriyaki roll I had there was great, the second was not. Two of the pieces didn't really have anything in them and were falling apart. Had the problem of a couple of the other rolls falling apart too - they just weren't rolled very well. Miso soup was smaller than I expected but tasted good. I'll definitely give this place another try and hope that I just caught them on an off night. This place is actually very nice! Sushi was fresh. Highly recommend the butter fish sashimi!! Salmon and tuna sashimi were also very good and fresh. Nice green tea 🍵. Pretty decent value for what you get if you come for the lunch special. Ordered the lunch special for two. Service was mediocre, we ordered the beef tataki, but never got it so maybe the server didn’t hear 👂. Anyways this place is a good spot for sushi. Ended up paying about $47 including a tip for two of us. They also accommodate shellfish allergies which is nice.

Had to edit and lower star rating after rude reply from owner. Second time ordering pick up from here and timeline of when it would be ready was far off once again. This time all that was ordered was a spicy misu soup. Was in a hurry so asked prior to the order how long it would be for misu soup (as could only order it if it would be ready when I arrive) - was told 5 mins.
