Mundy Park Bakery — Restaurant in Coquitlam

This place is my childhood bakery as well. I love the cream horns, the sausage rolls, the cinnamon buns, and the Black Forest cake. I used to get them after my school ends when I was in middle/high school. Then I moved away.

I haven’t been to this bakery for almost 10 years, and I went yesterday. The owner definitely changed, I can tell from the new staff members and the new Indian treats available there. Surprisingly the taste of the items I mentioned stayed the same (at least from what I remembered, but yeah, I haven’t been there for so long). It was a joy eating all the items I love.

The prices like others have mentioned, have gone up but still very reasonable considering the inflation rate is utterly high in recent years. Frankly speaking, this place is still very cheap compare to other good bakeries.

I cannot comment on the bread quality though…but all in all, I highly recommend this place. Thank you for keeping the taste good and consistent. I almost cried yesterday when having the cream horns; so much good old memories with my friends. I will definitely pay more...

SCAMMERS 2024: The sales lady tried to scam me again by intentionally overcharging me the same exact cookies & feigned innocence immediately saying she was looking at the wrong cookie price. I abominated her & explicitly told her she did the same thing last year. This time $5 attempt to cheat me. 2023: Just like many others have reported got close to being scammed. Thank you all for reporting your burns. As a decades long veteran I did get a sense it was a new owner as all the many decade plus regular staff were not there. When my innocent curious question about the price of my purchases; The cashier suddenly self professed very apologetically she had overcharged. I thought it an honest mistake but reading recent comments I’m done. Fool me once. Almost paid $11 over. Interesting she paid the error in cash. And only offered after this cash transaction to amend it on my card purchase. Merry Christmas, goodbye and shame on you for swindling innocents. Consumers are savvier than you think.
