This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life and I eat out every day because I’m 21 and don’t know how to cook.
My father has his own company and he was in town here from down south and I wanted to take him to a nice dinner before he started work at 8 PM so shortly before seven we arrived at the timberroom knowing an hour would be close but possible, We waited a good amount of time to order food nonetheless actually get it, We arrived at 7:02pm At our table, probably ordered 10 minutes after And didn’t get our food till 815. My dad had to be at work at eight so he’s already late after getting the food his steak sandwich medium rare. Was more cooked than my leather shoes. my dad, being a kind man in a rush would not complain so I be complained on his behalf and showed the Server the shoe leather sandwich . My beloved fiancé got the completely wrong Food, so wasn’t able to eat with us after an hour and not seeing my dad for months . My dad ordered coffee as he’s working an overnight shift. He Ordered a second coffee on the second out of three times the server checked on us in an hour and a half, and he never got his second coffee. They did remedy this after I complained with 40% off I believe this is fair but still absolutely poor experience, would not recommend anybody in the Valley.
On a sidenote, I also ordered soup and got the spoon. That’s not a big deal but still not good.
If a restaurant is busy and stuff like this happens, I can understand, but the restaurant was empty. There was three other tables in the entire restaurant and one was only getting drinks. So there is no excuse for the poor service food mistakes and...
Read moreI have visited twice and both times were disappointing. On my first visit, the restaurant was incredibly busy (due to an event at the golf course) so I didn't fault all of the things that went wrong due to the fact that the service staff were totally overwhelmed. The falafel wrap was tasty and the beer selection was decent. However, yesterday I visited at 5:30pm to take advantage of Friday happy hour drinks. My partners beer was flat and the staff exchanged his for a different type that wasn't flat. We were having a good conversation so we ordered another round and the bill. Our first round was during happy hour but we were given larger portions that were not part of the discount. I have been to many establishments and they are happy to offer the happy hour drinks as a default, it's good business. The restaurant wasn't very busy but I still didn't feel very welcome or appreciated as a guest. Anyway, I'm not going back for a third strike at the Timber Room. There are many other places in the area that make me...
Read moreI had the evening dinner special, which was pork schnitzel, with spatzel, braised cabbage, and grilled veggies. All of the veggies and the spatzel were soaking in grease. I could have squeezed the grease out of the Brussels sprout. The schnitzel had absolutely no flavour, and adding salt and pepper didn't help. I ate the schnitzel as I was starving, but the rest kept swimming in grease. Since I was still hungry, I decided to have the New York Cheese cake for dessert. It had some strawberries and tart raspberries on it, and it was delicious. I would have that for dinner next time. I had 2 Moscow Mules to drink, and they were also excellent. As far as the service went, I would have to say it was way above par. My server and a young fellow working there were beyond excellent. They were very attentive to all customers, without being an annoyance. I wish I knew their names. I will definitely go to the Timber Room again and try something else on their menu. Even if I don't eat, I would go for the...
