Ricky's All Day Grill - Creston — Restaurant in Creston

Honestly I'm staying at the hotel next door. I tried to go for dinner the first night I arrived. Waited at the door to be seated with 5 others for 15 minutes while the waitresses looked at us, walked by, the place had Many open tables in all sections. They were open for 3 more hours at this time. Finally got mad and walked out. A couple days later tried to do the hotel breakfast there. Same thing. Absolutely not even been spoken too, let alone seated. Decided on my last night I'm a 3 week trip to try one more time, because it's close. This time went to the pub. Again, hours before close. Finally seated. Order dinner which was fine, nothing special, same quality as any greasy chain. But 20 mins in, with multiple other tables in the pub, the girl decided to leave for 10-20 mins at a time. Would come back to the pub, do one table, not make eye contact with anyone else there, leave and not come back. I timed the 2nd time waiting for service at 30 minutes. Completely unacceptable. And the one waitress was bragging the manager was off on my last visit, so Clearly this is how they just are routinely. After going back to the hotel I read other reviews. It's very obvious this is standard for them and the 'manager' sometimes says "sorry for the inconvenience" online but does nothing to rectify it, this is how they are and nothing is done about it, period. If they weren't a Chain next to a busy hotel, who has a service contract, they would not be in buisness. Recommended items, not going here. Go to McDonald's, at least...

Every time I have gone to this Ricky’s they manage to mess up the order. For this particular order, you could imagine the disappointment when we ordered what was pictured in the menu on the left for take-out, and got home and opened the embarrassment on the right. When I contacted them about the lack of berries, whipped cream/presentation, they did nothing and told me the manager would call me, they never did. This was also a breakfast for my partners birthday that I had picked up so I was very disappointed with the mixed up order and terrible customer service. The time before this, I had ordered a dish for breakfast that contained avocados, I wanted the dish SOLELY because it came with avocado, and they presented the wrong order and it had no avocado. I didn’t care at the time but after THIS, this was the last straw. I refuse to ever eat here again and I make sure to tell everyone about it!

I see that the “owner” has replied to my review. I would appreciate if they were looking to rectify the situation, but they are completely lying in their reply as there were no extra berries/cream packaged separately and they NEVER offered a free dessert. Maybe they have this interaction confused with another one because I’m positive this happens often! We came for a dinner. Were seated promptly and our drinks came and we ordered and that was the end. We waited over an hour and still no sign of food. People who came in the same time as we did were long gone and we were still waiting for our food. I approached the waitress to see what was happening and she said the kitchen was backed up. Food was going to take out, to the bar and to people who had come as the same time as us. Our order was not complicated. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and my husband ordered shrimp and chicken platter. After approaching the waitress the first time, I heard them “put our order down” we waited another 15 minutes and still with no food in sight, we told the waitress we were leaving. I paid for the drinks and we left. Almost everything else was closed so very few choices for dinner after that. My husband is a diabetic and I am gluten intolerant so have to be somewhat careful where we eat, but waiting over an hour for a simple meal is...
