UPDATE 21Aug2024 Just had the most amazing Greek Salad with the most delightfully fresh crispy moist Romaine lettuce. So good I forgot to take a picture!!
Monday’s Special - “Half Rack Ribs and Spaghetti” Went in for this special and paired the meal with a Greek Salad and a Copper Ale. The salad was so fresh it didn’t seem possible. The cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, shredded carrots, ice berg lettuce and dressing (Raspberry Vinaigrette) made for a lo cal and utterly delicious delight. The ribs were cooked so perfectly that the meat literally could be shook from the bone. The smoky depth and tenderness was exquisite. Smothered in rich bbq sauce set the experience right off! At first I thought the spaghetti was a tad dry, but instead it was perfectly balanced, the tart tomato base and subtle Italian Seasoning and melted cheesy top was easy and a uniquely tasty entree. Monday will always make me think of this weekly feature… Bravo Marci’s with this restaurant teamwork, I will always be drawn to the friendly waitresses, the quirky owner, and of course the kitchen chefs… END
PREVIOUS REVIEW: Had the lamb again! Which used to be so new to me just a short time ago. I was never fond of lamb until Terry seasoned, grilled, and thusly transformed the meat into pure artesian perfection. The flavour and texture is meltingly heart warming and soothes the savage beast within me. Terry treated us to a full rack of lamb with his perfected mint savoury glaze, toasted pita, accompanied with pearl and wild rice pilaff and a palate awakening bright garlicky Grecian salad. Read moreI ordered a clubhouse sandwich with a Greek salad for pick up. I arrive to pick it up, a waitrrss notices me but then looks away as if I wasn't even there. This happens back and forth for 2 minutes. Finally the waitress who took my order comes out to the bar. Looks at me but doesn't seem to want to acknowledge that I'm standing there. Finally I holler if my food is ready or should I move my car. Finally she goes to the back to get my food. I get home. No cutlery or napkins. I notice the Greek salad had lettuce in it. Strange but I can ignore it. Until I noticed there was no feta on it, menu said it did. Sandwich is made with gristle parts of meat. The tomatoes are not ripe enough for the sandwich as you'll see in the pics. So I take the sandwich apart. Sure enough the top part of the pickle still attached in which no one would put on a sandwich. That's why it's cut how it's cut. I am upset that I wasted money at this place today. I am not eating it. It's in the garbage. So now I'm hungry and upset all because a establishment can't properly maintain proper...
Read moreI got a 14-inch Meat Lovers Pizza to take home. I figured this would be enough for my fiancée and I to split.
The first thing I noticed was the weight. This pizza had heft. But you know, I was carrying other things, I didn’t think anything more, and continued on my way.
For 20 minutes on the drive home, all I can smell is this pizza. My stomach grumbling, the rain pounding, I did all I could to ignore it. Finally I got home, and we sat down to enjoy it.
I can eat a lot. I usually do. I got through 5 slices last night, but I only needed 3. The pizza was delicious, and man did it fill me up, but I kept going back for more. I took a nap, and then had my final slice, and then went for a 45 minute walk to rethink my choices in life, as I could’ve saved some pieces for today and still been happy.
