Extremely disappointed. RUINED OUR NIGHT ! Have been here before. The food was excellent. However upon arriving to our reserved table for our anniversary, we were met with terrible service. Our waitress, Stacy was quick to come read us the specials and take our drink orders. But after over half an hour we still did not have drinks of any kind. Even our water glasses sat empty. A table came in behind us after about 15 minutes and immediately had wine, water and an appetizer order in. We were ignored. We are a younger couple celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We felt discriminated against and profiled. My wife thought it was because "she didn't dress up nice enough" this upset me quite a lot as she looked beautiful. When our drinks were finally prepared, they were left on the bar and other people were served. My wife went to go get the drinks herself and I asked for the bill. We were apologized to and the drinks were comped. However the discrimination towards us was more than insulting. We are locals who live very close and are extremely invested in the community. This was extremely disappointing. Not only will we not ever be returning, I will make sure to tell everyone about how disgusting the service was and how rude the server was to us. I feel as if we were profiled as "poor" and therefore didn't receive the service we should have. Literally, multiple tables around us got served as we sat there feeling awkward. SHAME on you. July 15, 2022 - a fabulous lunch at Oak Bay. Started with Monica, then the 60-hr dude, finishing with chef adjusting the lunch dishes for us with some amazing shrimp dishes. Give yourselves a treat - not cheap but we’ll worthwhile. Thank you. Again.

We don’t understand the reviews. We’ve talked to countless ppl who have raved about the food. We went today for an early dinner, server was Kent. Place wasn’t busy so perhaps that’s a consideration but service was excellent, food was quick, hot and absolutely delicious. Chef was amazing and accommodating with a last minute change. First time trying this restaurant, and wont be returning. I ordered over the phone for pickup and the man on the phone said he would need a credit card number and took down card number, expiry and cvc. Ive never had to provide all the card details like that so I was a little thrown. When we went to pay the man selected 15% tip without us giving the okay to do so. Why are we required to tip on takeout? The food we ordered was not only wrong but absolutely terrible. We didnt even eat it just threw it right out.
