Nektar's Pizza & Greek Food — Restaurant in District of North Vancouver

As a new resident to Deep Cove, I bought a dozen pizzas for the moving company from Nektars and was happy with the quality. Since we moved in, we normally order from the Raven Pub, which is closer, but we tried Nektar's again tonight.

What a rip off - they didn't honor the price on the phone and charged $14 for two extra toppings on two pizzas. The $32 pair of pizzas came in at nearly fifty bucks. I came home to find my wife furious, saying that she called and asked to talk to someone in charge and the owner couldn't care less if we never ordered from them again, even though they cheated us.

The disputed amount was a few dollars, but they would rather screw the customer than try to think about repeat business.

Companies like this should be boycotted and that's exactly what we plan to do.

I have loved this food for 30 years, but I fear Nektar's will fail if they don't wake up to the realities of business in the 21st century. If they opened their doors to the driving apps, their menu would be viewed by thousands more people daily. When it comes to food, few can compete with this restaurant. They could afford to hire more kitchen staff and (this is crucial) be in operation for more than 5hrs./day. We recently moved the neighborhood and ordered from this restaurant. The pizza arrived after an hour and a half of wait (we were told 60-70min). So let’s say, it’s Friday night and things get busy and it’s hard to give a correct estimate. But what really annoys me is that the pizza was obviously cooked at least 45 min ago, it looked like the pizza you eat when your guests are gone… I don’t want to give a 1 star review because I’m all for small business support, but when they screw up, they also need to know. We’ll give it another try in the next few weeks and if we get the same experience, we’ll give up...
