I am not the type to write reviews, but I decided to write one for this one. I used Coco Pralin for my father's 80 years old birthday for 24 Guests. I can't cook for my life and it's too much work for my mother to cook for so many guests so we decided to cater the event. I told my mother who is a control freak to let me take care of the food and she does not have to worry about a thing...ya that worked out...NOT! The more I said don't worry the more she worried she got. I also got spammed by my mother with 30 emails a day. Like a good son I showed my mother how to use Gmail to contact me...the student involved and she even knows "Hangout" now. Anyways that's outside the scope of my review. As they say, if you can't beat them join them. My mother and I went to Coco Pralin on 11 Rue Sunnydale, Dollard-des-Ormeaux to pick up the food choices. We had a meeting with a very nice person called Anon, he was very patient and he answered all our questions. A day later we got an email with a break down of the menu and prices. We made few adjustments over the menu and finalized on a price which comes about 23$ per person.
That was our final menu: Oriental Dip (Hummus Baba Tomato eggplant, salade cuite...) Pita & Rolls Bourekas (no tuna) Potato & cheese 3dz Vegie Eggrolls (sauce) 32 pcs Avocado- Mango & Israeli Salad 2 XL Bowls Wraps Sandwiches Egg & Grilled Vegies Large container Cheese Lasagna (for 24 people) 2 pans Assorted mini Pizza Fruit Platter 1 chocolate mousse & Apple pie
Here is the part where my guests and I were blown away by the quality of the food. The size of the Avoco-Mango and the Israeli Salad were huge and they were a hit especially the Avoco-Mango. The Oriental Dip was amazing, I know my hummus I eat hummus for breakfast. This was a high-quality humus. Don't get me started on the eggplant salad, I never had anything as good as that salad. We warm up the Bourkas and the Cheese Lasagna in the oven. The Bourkas mixed with the Israeli salad with a touch of eggplant...let tell you I started to see angels coming down from the sky. Everyone was asking who made the food. I stood up proud and said it was Coco Pralin as if I had something to do with the cooking of this food. I will not lie to you but I wanted to hide some food from the guests so we can have some left overs... The delivery was spot on time the service was great and most important the food was amazing. If you have an event I suggest to check them, I took pictures of the food if you like I...
