Walking in and smelling the distinctive Donini sauce and toppings (especially the peppers) instantly brought back memories of picking one up on Friday nights on our way back from the video store. But the mental return to simpler times didn't end there. The all-dressed pizza is exactly as we remembered it: a perfect  topping-to-crust ratio, cheesy, with just the right amount of sauce. We can't believe it hasn't changed at all. We are very happy about this, as this specific type of straightforward, classic pizza seemed to be less popular lately—almost extinct, even. We also ordered the Québécoise (which is a new order for us here), and it is even better than we imagined it would be, with large, real, perfectly crispy bacon pieces. They were both pretty filling. A medium goes a long way. We won't lie; we didn't expect much. We foresaw the disappointment of an unsatisfying reboot, but we were pleasantly surprised. We sincerely hope they open more franchises and perhaps restore some of its former glory (according to their website, there seem to be plans). We encourage you to give in to the sentimental yearning for nostalgia and reacquaint yourself with an old favorite.

I wanted the pizza to be good cause it brings back memories from when Donini used to use wood burning ovens then switched to gaz beacause buisness was booming. I ordered regular crust but it was way too much dough and was raw in the center and some of the thicker edges .pizza was not opened evenly and had areas where the dough was thicker . The pizza was not edible . I ate the topping and it was limited in ingredients. Not worth it and I won’t go back . The price is too much for what you get even had it been cooked properly but it tasted like raw flour .

I hadn't ever had Donini pizza, so I thought I'd try it. I ordered a pepperoni pan pizza, but they have many options. It was done in about 15 minutes. The place looked clean and it was all new. I brought it home, and really liked it. Fluffy crust, crispy around the edge, all good. Not as good as home made pan pizza, but I'd have it again and try some other options.

21 years ago I went to Pizza Donini in the west island and had what I remember to be the best pizza I have ever tried in my life. I remember there was only one employee working there at the time, he was a a tall immigrant young man. I asked how is the restaurant running with one employee, he said that he was the cook, the cashier, and the delivery guy all at once. I was really amazed because he seemed like he had everything under so much control. A month later I went back to the restaurant to try that pizza and I was shocked to see that the restaurant was closed down. I was so furious at Pizza Donini for not helping the young man out , so I called head office and finally I reached the owner of Pizza Donini Peter Daros and I gave him a piece of my mind. He then told me that it wasent a decision from Pizza Donini to shut down his restaurant. It turns out that the young man had fled his country from mandatory military service and was working illegally in Canada on an expired visa. Immigration came and physically had to remove him from the kitchen. He was so dedicated he refused to comply , so they called the RCMP and it took 8 officers to be able to physically eject him from the kitchen. Mr Daros then continued the sad story by saying that when they went to that branch to close down the business, they found 71,000 dollars under a tile in the office along...
