One of the best Japanese restaurants ever visited. It's too bad Google only allows for 5 stars; we would definitely be willing to give more stars if we could. For the very first time, all of the rolls arrived perfectly tightly rolled up, not collapsed and wide open and when they were picked up, they stayed rolled up and not split open like in many Japanese sushi restaurants. The rice inside the rolls was soft and snug and tasty, not hard and slippery and when you dip the rolls into the soy sauce, not one grain of rice dropped into the sauce; they all stayed within the roll. And each of the rolls were exactly equally sized, not like with all of the rolls the same size but with the last roll 2 times the size of the rest with all the ingredients sticking out. It's very obvious that the chef(s) was(were) traditionally trained and experienced and is dedicated to excellency. You really DO get an authentic taste of Japanese sushi of what it should be without going to Japan. The taste of the rolls was extremely delicious with explosion of flavour that really do challenge your taste buds.

The restaurant is situated all the way at the back of a plaza and doesn't get a lot of exposure and traffic unlike some of the restaurants who are located right at the front of the plaza right on Des Sources and yet when we arrived at lunch time, the restaurant was packed. We recently had the pleasure of dining at Aikawa Sushi Restaurant and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. As a sushi enthusiasts both my partner and I have visited numerous sushi restaurants, but this place truly stood out in terms of taste, presentation, and overall dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the sushi. Every dish that arrived at our table was a work of art. The sushi chefs at Aikawa clearly possess immense skill and creativity. Each piece was meticulously crafted, showcasing the freshest ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. The fish was incredibly fresh and melted in our mouths, leaving us craving more.

I usually go to the west island Sushi Buffet restaurant with my family, but this year, I decide to try the Aikawa Sushi restaurant that was said to be fresh and "the best". before booking my table, I did a little bit research online about this restaurant review. i was aware that the food is expensive and service was not friendly. but i thought that review was 2 years ago, they might have been a little bit improved. with this bad impression mind, I booked a table for 6 people for the new year's Even dinner. what we experienced during the dinning gave me a slap and proved I was wrong to make such a dinner reservation with this restaurant. we still face unfriendly services. what made me come to here to give them this review is that final billing time. the gentleman who served our table forced us to pay 15% tips. he was so aggressive that he even used his hand to press the 15% button for the tips. our order was not small (400$). i was so astonished by what he did on this! no word! just a kind remind for Sushi eater, be cautious when get in this restaurant for Sushi, the food was not as fresh as the other reviewer commented. my experience is that the Sushi Buffet restaurant provide better food and service than this one. at least I have never experienced forced tip request by pressing the PSOE button machine by the servant themselves!!!
