If you’re looking for a hidden gem with incredible food and warm hospitality, look no further than Restaurant Bar Focaccio! Nestled conveniently next to Dorval Airport, this spot is a must-visit for both travelers craving a memorable meal and locals seeking a cozy, welcoming vibe.
The food here is nothing short of amazing. I tried one of their wood-fired pizzas, and it was a flavor explosion! The star of the show? The homemade chilis—spicy, smoky, and perfectly balanced, they added a bold kick that elevated every bite. The crust was crispy yet chewy, the toppings fresh, and the generous portions left me happily satisfied. Whether you’re a spice lover or just appreciate quality ingredients, this pizza is a winner.
What truly made the experience special was the owner, who was onsite and radiating genuine warmth. Their passion for the restaurant shines through in every detail, from the vibrant atmosphere to the attentive service. They took the time to chat with guests, ensuring everyone felt right at home. It’s rare to find a place where the hospitality matches the quality of the food, but Focaccio nails it.
With its inviting bar area and rustic charm, this spot is perfect for a casual lunch, a post-flight unwind, or even a lively evening out. Don’t miss out on this culinary delight—Restaurant Bar Focaccio deserves all the praise, and I’ll definitely be back for another slice (or two)! 🍕✨

Read moreFound this place near our hotel and took a walk over after seeing there were English reviews, since we don’t speak French. We arrived shortly after opening on the weekend and our server quickly switched to English when we greeted him. We were served warm bread and butter after we ordered. I ordered the fettuccini carbonara, and let me tell you, I’m still thinking about it. I’d order more today if I could. It was well sauced, the bacon was in large chunks and there was plenty of pepper and cheese. For desert, we were hoping to try the crème caramel however they had none available that day. Instead, we had tartufo and tiramisu, both very good. At the end of our meal we were offered a shuttle back to the hotel, which was nice but we declined as it was a short walk and still light out. I wonder if that was as much for safety as it was courtesy. This area is semi-remote industrial, near the airport and several hotels, among other businesses. We saw a number of people wandering the area with no apparent destination. Had it been dark we’d have taken the lift. I’d go again if I was in the area, and order two servings of the carbonara...
Read moreTraditional Italian menu layout, but the dishes were not traditional Italian food. I’ve been to Italy a dozen times in various regions and this restaurant serves clearly Canadian style Italian food. It was still tasty but definitely with a québécoise feel. Don’t expect Italian cuisine! That being said the wait staff was very friendly and do speak some Italian. I went one night on my own and had a salad and pizza and was quite surprised so I brought back a few team members the next night to join me. Sadly, the next day The salad had so much dressing it was soggy with oil. The pizza was quite tasty as well as the soup and two of the pasta dishes our table ordered. But Everything needed salt and pepper and chilli oil to bring in some flavor, but it was a nice dinner environment overall. I had a view of the bar where the bartender was serving out wine. Each person at our table ordered a different glass of red, but I noticed the bartender just poured out the SAME house wine into three glasses?!?! LOL I guess they assumed we would not be able to tell the difference? 🤷🏻♂️ Anyhow I’m giving this place four stars. I’m not sure if I...
