Restaurant Le Sémaphore — Restaurant in Dorval

September 2, 2024 - Breakfast Le Quebecois cost $26.00 - small serving of fresh fruit, 2 eggs any style, bacon, sausages, home fries and toast.

Myself and 2 other guests ordered the same meal "Le Quebecois" and were very disappointed. The eggs were perfect however everything else was terrible. Meats were of poor quality; bacon appeared to be the cheap pre-cooked bacon very thin and resembled the pre-cooked microwave bacon. The sausages were nothing special, at best edible. Home fries were far from being home fries, they served us deep fried wedge fries, not what I expected to be served for breakfast when paying $26.00. The toast were cut in half giving the impression that they had been processed for serving however they had not been buttered. By the time I realized the cut toast had no butter on them they were cold and there was no way that little side of butter was going to melt on my toast. This restaurant is located inside the Double tree by Hilton. The hotel was nice and at the price of the meals in the restaurant attached to this hotel I was expecting a good meal, we were very disappointed. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant, save your money and call an Uber, there are plenty of other restaurants to chose from...

I wanted to express my pleasant surprise with an unconventional and unexpectedly superior culinary experience for a hotel restaurant.

I had the salmon which was artfully presented and tasted delicious with each bite bringing a new delight.

My hubby had the pork cassoulet with sweet potato and salad. He said it was a perfect portion and so unique with the thin crisp sweet potatoes on top. He’s a pilot and has eaten in his share of airport hotel restaurants .

We both had the tiki semaphore cocktail 🍹 which brought us both back to the Tiki lounge in Waikiki! Thanks for the mini vacation in every sip!

The service was amazing! Everyone was extra professional and well trained for a 5 star experience.

We look forward to our next meal at Semaphore and would actually plan and recommend an outing there to local friends and family.

Solo business traveler staying at the Double Tree for 4 nights. Ate at the restaurant 3 of the 4 nights because it was fantastic. Being a hotel restaurant some of the menu items were not available at the time of order which was frustrating, but everything I did order was excellent!! The servers and bartender (manager) were extremely pleasant and provided great service. The Cornwall chicken was my favorite dish. Juicy chicken breast with skin cooked to perfection. The pistachio desert was the best! Will definitely return to this hotel and restaurant if working in...
