Restaurant La Belle Province — Restaurant in Dorval

Hello … I’ve bin thinking to not do this review but I just have no choice because this experience does not make La belle province name justice !! I love La belle province but Last Thursday February 27th 2025 around 7h pm me and my wife we entered the restaurent and we were really hungry for a good poutine and steam dog from la belle province ! We entered the restaurent and there’s was no one it was empty …. No wonder I suppose … first of all the restaurent didn’t look that clean but hey it’s the belle province it should be good anyways !! I ordered with the lady at the cashier FYI she really did a good job nothing to say about that !! But then I placed the order and the nightmare just started 😳😳😳…. There were 2 male cook , one of the guys sneezed then but is hand/wrist to wipe is nose !!! Then the phone rings he went and answered the phone while the other guy makes the poutines cooks the fries wish he took with is bare hand to put into the fryer then (fyi my poutine was a smoked meat poutine and my wife a normal one ) he went and take the sausage wish is bare hand wish just instant before wiped his hand on his pants after he touched the fries to but them in the fryer …. He then prepares the hotdog and starts making the poutine wish again Took the cheese in the big bucket of cheese with his filthy greased hands then puts the sauces. The other guy that just finished a phone call starts preparing my smoked meat seconds before took his hand to pull back his hait … so takes the meat cuts it with the knife and takes his same hand that he wiped his nose and pulled his hair back and touches my meat . I gently asked my wife to Go wait for me in the truck I then take the to go bag tell them listen we’re alone here and I said I personally own a Business but what I just witness was disgusting and a disgrace to this brand and took my bag and trow it directly in the garbage … the one guy asked why I did that I calmly explained without asking a refund and then they said they could do my order again I said no thank you explained again that this was disgusting and then the cook that touched the cheese denied it even hides his hands then I got mad !! Real mad and I said listen to say no to a refund I say no that you make my order again because I’m way to disgusted about what I just saw and you deny it ! I then asked my money back wish in the beginning because he denied what I just saw then the other disgusting cook ( maybe his boss ) starts yelling at the other cook but he was even worst then he said I’m sorry we’re really busy and I had an awful day . Once again I was alone in the restaurent for about 20...

The workers don't know basic math. They charged me an extra 7$+tax???

I asked for Trio 1: small poutine, two steamies, one drink. Total is about 16$. I asked to replace the small poutine with a large. THEY CHARGED ME AN EXTRA 7$? I talked to two people and they BOTH don't know basic math. I asked where the extra 5$ came from and they pointed to text on the menu saying, "Replace fries for a poutine for 5$ for a small, 7$ for a large." I told them it says replace fries with a poutine, but I just wanted to replace a small POUTINE with a large POUTINE. I pointed at the menu and said, "There is a 2$ difference between the small and large poutine."

BOTH workers gaslit me and wouldn't cancel the transaction, so I paid the extra 5$. I know an extra 5$ isn't that much, but that means I paid 20$ for mid poutine (stale fries, cold gravy, and cheese curds that wouldn't melt).

Best Belpro in the West Island is definitely the one next to the old Guzzo. I didn't go to that one today because they were closed (lost power), but wow... the difference in service and food...

Today I went to the get poutine and there were customers in front of me. I thought she finished with the customers and she stared at me so I told her what I wanted. The manager rudely said it’s not your turn and said something else. She was literally staring at me so I ordered. Then I told her it was very rude the way she talked to me she’s like you just barged in here didn’t say hi and just show up. In my head I’m like this is a diner place where you tell people what you want and she looked at me so I told her what I wanted to order. Then informs of everyone she said here’s some extra curds for you since you thought I was rude.
