I love the food here and usually come during the day, and love the service I get from the day staff, but my experience shows the service depends on who is working at the time you arrive. Friday night - By the time I got to the cash and gave the girl my order it was about 9:24PM. Google says they close at 10pm. After I gave my order of two cheeseburgers, she turns and checks with the kitchen staff and comes back to say the grill is closed. I tell her that it says closing time is 10pm on Google. Can’t they just make two cheeseburgers? Then Olivier approaches the counter to say the same and I ask him what time does the grill close. He says that the grill closes at 9:25pm so I showed him my phone, it shows that it is 09:25pm and I said it’s 9:25pm now, couldn’t he just cook my two burgers. He said that it is closed already for 2 to 3 minutes and it would take another 2 to 3 minutes for it to get warm, so he cannot make my two cheeseburgers. He told me to go the Lafleur near LaSalle (don’t remember what city name exactly he called it by but the only one open until midnight is 90 Bd Montréal Toronto, Montréal, QC H8R 0B5). I told Olivier that I just came from LaSalle to drive there to the one on Hymus and that Google says they close at 10 PM. Even though I was polite all this time, but obviously not happy, he looked at me and hardened his face. No understanding or compassion. He would not budge, so after asking his name, I left to drive back to the LaSalle Lafleur and then back to Pierrefonds. I had literally left the place I was at in LaSalle at 9:03pm to drive to the...
Read moreI love how most of the 1 star reviews display people complaining about things that are more or less obvious when it comes to a Lafleurs (or the one who was complaining about general tao... I think you've got the wrong restaurant.)
Firstly if the doors remain open, which a lot of lafleurs or La Belles do as it tends to get very hot inside, yes there will be flies.
Secondly, fries are meant to be greasy, they are literally fried in oil; if they come our burnt it happens, have you never eaten at one of these restaurants before?
In Quebec the staff are not obligated to respond to you in English (they will if you ask them to, just don't be rude; which I bet some of you were)
If the owner asked you to use a different door, 2 months ago, maybe it had something to do with the fact that there is a pandemic going on and the owners wants their customers to have a safe way in and a safe way out; use common sense.
Now onto to food; it's exactly what you'd expect from a place that serves hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and poutines; greasy, fast, and cheap.
Sure sometimes they the buns will be a little less steamed than other times, and the fries may be a little over cooked; but you're not dining at 3 star Michelin restaurant here, it's a greasy spoon place that you're spending literally 20 minutes to eat...
Read moreLafleur on Hymus CHECK YOUR CHARGES Our family has been going to this restaurant for decades, never had an issue until now. When it was time to pay, my 90-year old father paid by debit card. The older man who took our order (Only halve of his shirt buttoned up) told us in a rude manner that the charge did not go through. When we questioned him, he grunted something.... We mentioned that it looked like the transaction had gone through because a receipt printed out. Another grunt --- and he then blamed us for taking the card out early. But again, we said a receipt printed out so the transaction probably went through. We checked the charges online and noticed three identical transactions had been charged to the card. The debit card was only inserted twice while we were in the restaurant, yet we were somehow charged three times. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE --- THIS EMPLOYEE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO INTERACT WITH ANY CUSTOMERS...
