Sam catered our wedding this past weekend and we’re still in awe of how delicious, beautiful, and unique our menu was! We don’t even know how to put into words how incredible Sam at the White Bull Cafe has been to work with throughout this whole wedding planning process and the food was truly AMAZING!

Sam was highly recommended to us from family and friends and we started working with him over 2 years ago to plan the most delicious and memorable meal for our special day! Throughout the whole process he was so easy to communicate with and had the best ideas to help make our day memorable and one of a kind for all of our guests. My fiancé Ben, is from Vancouver Island and we wanted some costal flair. Sam flew in BC salmon for our guests and it was delicious! He also made all of Ben’s dreams come true with a home made Mac and Cheese bar as the late night snack. Our guests have been raving about the food for DAYS afterwards! We also had a sourdough butter dunk (another great idea of Sam’s, google it is you’re unfamiliar because it’s AMAZING) and our guests had commented how they’d never seen or eaten such deliciousness!

Sam also helped us the whole way through to make sure we had all the components for a smooth wedding. Things we didn’t even think of like “who is saying grace, who is helping the guests get to their seats” and really prioritized the guest experience. He called me on Monday before the big day to suggest adding a margarita bar due to the warm weather. He thought it would be a one of a kind touch, and it sure was! Just more of Sam’s magic sprinkled into our day!

Sam also worked with the less than ideal cooking situation at our venue. We got married in a remote location and he was able to set up a make shift kitchen on site outside and cook everything in the parking lot. He worked with what he had for cooking circumstances and made it all look so effortless and easy.

Our day would have not been nearly as perfect or as smooth if it wasn’t for Sam and his attention to detail, passion, and expertise. We would recommend him in a heartbeat, as his team really elevates your event with their hard work and dedication! If we could give more than 5...

Wow, where do we even start?

As owners of Aspen Country Hills wedding venue near Drayton Valley, we’ve worked with all kinds of caterers over the years, some good, some not so good, a few great… and then there’s The White Bull Café, who are truly in a league of their own.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Sam and his incredible team for over five years now for couples who are so lucky to book The White Bull Cafe for their wedding. Every time, it’s the same: exceptional food, over-the-top service, always punctual, and completely professional. Their wedding catering experience is what truly sets them apart.

So when it came time to plan our own wedding for June 7th, 2025, there was absolutely no question who we were going to choose. In fact, we actually planned our wedding date around White Bull’s availability, that’s how important they were to us.
