A&W Canada — Restaurant in Dutton/Dunwich

First off this review is not aimed at the minimum wage staff working this restaurant. Stand at counter, notice sign that states you must order using touch screen order entry kiosk. Go to kiosk, two of three displays don't work. Proceed to end of line again to ask if order can be placed at counter, yes it can. Finally place order, $28 for two people. Sorry, no orange drink, lemonade, ginger ale, only water and root beer and cola. Go to car to get a gingerale from cooler. Order pickup counter jammed at #59. We're #154. Take seat at table, partner goes to washroom to wash up. Comes back and states "washrooms are filthy. Strongly suggest that all avoid this location. HOWEVER, biggest complaint is "fast food is no longer fast or inexpensive. Also watched staff empty 4 large scoops of French fries into the garbage, right after bagging our fries. Worst A&W I have ever been in. Picked up our lunch to go. The person taking the order kept putting in the wrong items and if I hadn't been watching the screen it would have been worse. The guy filling the order handed me the drinks. My diet coke was less than half full. He blamed it on the foam as if everyone doesn't understand carbonation. Disappointing Experience at A&W West Lorne OnRoute

Stopped by this A&W and was really disappointed with the service. The employee clearly didn’t want to be there—no greeting, no effort, and an overall bad attitude. Customer service was nonexistent, and it felt like I was inconveniencing them just by ordering food. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect when stopping for a quick bite on the road.
