Chen's Restaurant — Restaurant in East Gwillimbury

Absolute worst!!! Will NEVER return. I ordered Singapore noodles. Got home and sat down to eat and realized that the food had zero flavour. Just noodles with some packaged chili sauce on them. This is a curry dish but it had no curry.

I drove back (15 min) after speaking to a guy on the phone. When I arrived back at the restaurant, he took my food to the kitchen. A few minutes later the cook comes out, yelling at me that it is good food. I tried to tell him that I needed more curry and flavour but he didn't hear a word. I then requested my money back and let him know that I wouldn't be returning. The second part of my order was a #1 dinner. Chicken Chow Mein and s and a chicken balls and chicken fried rice. I'm currently trying to eat this but the chow mein is swimming in a pool of water(?) and the chicken balls are mush and the rice is tasteless. Hands down THE worst Chinese food restaurant I've ever been to. If you are looking forward to some good Chinese food, don't stop here. Drive right on by. A huge disappointment and waste of time and money. I will never be back to Chen's...

Been twice now and will keep coming back! Found this hidden gem by accident and now will go on my way home from the city all the time. Have ordered hot and sour soup and it was perfect! The Cantonese chow mein is the best I’ve had anywhere in years. Finally found a lo mein that I love. Chicken balls were meaty and the way I remember them from being a kid. Way better than anywhere else I’ve had in years! Spring rolls and egg rolls we reheated in the air fryer and were perfect....

I live in town and have eaten here several times. Most times it has been good food. Tonite I ordered a nu. 4 combo which was good and a curry chicken dish which was like the worst thing. The flavour and texture of the curry sauce was really aweful and the only thing in the dish was chicken and onion. Honestly I can’t eat it and feel like I just threw money away.
