A Memorable Evening at Istanbul Kebab and Donair
My mother and I recently visited Istanbul Kebab and Donair, and we had an absolutely incredible evening. From start to finish, our experience was filled with warmth, fantastic service, and mouthwatering flavors.
We decided to try the Chicken Kabab, and it exceeded all our expectations. The quality of the fresh vegetables paired with the perfectly cooked chicken created a harmonious blend of flavors that left us speechless. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste that lingered on our palates long after we had finished our meal.
What stood out to us was the skillful preparation of the kabab. It was evident that great care had been taken in marinating the chicken, resulting in a tender and succulent dish. The kabab was beautifully grilled, retaining its juiciness without being overly greasy. The overall presentation was impressive, and it was clear that the chefs at Istanbul Kebab and Donair take pride in their culinary craftsmanship.
In addition to the fantastic food, the staff made our evening truly memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with warmth and made to feel like honored guests. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Istanbul Kebab and Donair for providing us with such an exceptional dining experience. Our evening was filled with laughter, delicious food, and unforgettable moments. We highly recommend visiting this establishment and trying their Chicken Kabab or any other dish that catches your fancy. You won't be disappointed!
Thank you very much for a remarkable evening. We look forward to...
Read moreOne of the few Turkish restaurants in Edmonton. Quite nice in terms of the restaurant layout. I like the seats and decor as a Turk myself; all great Turkish style. I would honestly say a solid 3.5 stars for this place. I had their Adana Kebab, which is one of my favourite Turkish dishes. The portion of the plate is large, or at least it seems so because there’s a huge abundance of rice. The hummus and garlic sauce are very tasty and have a perfect, smooth consistency. The salad is dry though. It has no dressing or anything. I’m used to eating kebab dishes with charcoal grilled tomatoes and peppers as well, which I’ve had from other kebab restaurants in the city. That wasn’t on this plate. While the rice wasn’t all that tasty, my main issue was with the kebab itself. I’m not sure if it was how it was cooked or prepared but the meat was very chewy, almost like elastic. In other kebab places, I could simply sink the side of my fork in and it would split without any effort. I actually had to use a knife to cut this into smaller pieces and the consistency was very chewy, unlike any kebab I’ve ever had. The service was alright, but it wasn’t anything special or worth noting. Compared to “Best Kebab”, a very popular Turkish kebab restaurant close to this one, has fantastic service that hasn’t been matched at another yet, in my opinion. The kebab there is much more tastier with a fuller plate and better presentation. I originally came for a chicken donair plate, but they didn’t have it, which was a bit...
Read moreIt was a restaurant that I had in mind for a long time and postponed going to. We went as a family last night. My husband is Canadian, he really likes lahmacun, but it is very difficult to find good Turkish style lahmacun in Edmonton. We ordered family plate for 3. Delicious appetizers and warm lavash bread had already arrived. Everything was delicious, the meat and kebabs were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very respectful, kind and friendly. Their prices are very reasonable considering the taste and service they offer. The place is not a flashy place, but it is an ideal place for those who want to eat a great taste at reasonable prices. The Turkish patterned seats are unexpectedly comfortable. Moreover, you can benefit from free tea when you finish your meal. We live in West, but when we say let's go to dinner as a family, it has already entered our list of places that come to mind. I think my only criticism is about the lights and atmosphere. As someone who has managed a restaurant in Turkiye before, I can say this: I believe that if they used yellow lights instead of white lights and placed more Turkish objects and accessories around, the restaurant would look more authentic, move up the class and attract more customers. Thank you for great foods and service, thank you to...
