Play Back Pub — Restaurant in Edmonton

The wait on food was way too long, the quality is not up to par. I watched one of the cooks (a lady with black hair) ask customers to buy her drinks. The new girl is very rude, and has no idea what she is doing. Her and the kitchen staff are always outside smoking weed, they smell of it, and I have on occassion seen this myself. One time i went outside for a smoke and the girl came running out thinking that I was leaving without paying my bill, she let me know that when someone walks out they are made pay for it. AGAINST THE LAW!! So not only is some of the staff questionable but so is the management. And the amount of drug use in this bar is also disgusting. Which would fall under the bouncer duty. If you ever go on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday you will see the pathetic excuse of a "bouncer" sitting with the customers, eye glued on his phone or no where to be found. This use to be one of my favorite places to go. Prices are still very good and some staff is still awesome. Monday and Tuesday day girl is awesome always happy go lucky. This is one of the secret gems on the northside of Edmonton. Once known as the hangout place of the Candyman (MIA), it is also known for excellent wings and tacos, and for a decent happy hour beer specials. The outside entrance is ramshackle and grim, but as you enter, the mood is warm and inviting.

The servers are pretty good and regularly check on patrons. The food is excellent for pub food, and the music played in the background is fine and at a comfortable volume.

There are dartboards for those of you who enjoy a game of darts. Also TVs set around the pub if you want to watch a game.

This place is good for the free pool and cheap drinks but after being there for an hour it reminded me of that bar recovery show. The bartender is playing on her phone and not even watching the bar, the bartender put on 10 songs in a row of hardcore hamster rap I can see 1 or 2 but after about the fifth song people started leaving for obvious reasons after her 10 songs someone else had some lined up after their second song she shouted I f*ing hate this music and turned it down she even skipped a couple of their songs there was a lot more but I think u get the point the staff are not there to serve you or make sure you have a good time they are their to hang out and get paid for it I would NOT...
