I came into this place knowing it was a fairly new establishment and I didn't set my expectations very high. I ordered the 4 Layer Clubhouse and it really hit the mark. With a roast beef and ham as opposed to the traditional turkey I was quite impressed. All of the flavours were there from the tomatoes, to the bacon, the cheese and the beef. Everything really pulled this sandwich together to give it the flavor you expect from such a sandwich. My girlfriend ordered the Beef Dip and allowed me to try it. The bun was increadibly soft in a good way. The beef was tender and the dip was perfect. Having been here a few times since this review was written I have got to add that anything with roast beef in it is absolutely fantastic! Try the poutine! The staff was very polite and there was live music as well. Many recognizable cover songs were played. To sum up all I have to say is try this place. If you don't you are truly missing out.

I recently visited Fort Road Pub & Grill and had a wonderful experience that definitely warrants a return trip! Nestled along the historic Fort Road in Edmonton, this place offers a cozy, inviting atmosphere ideal for casual dining or catching up with friends. The menu features a diverse selection of meals, perfect for those craving comfort food. While the service was generally attentive and friendly, there were moments when it felt a bit slow during peak hours. However, the staff's warm attitude more than made up for it. The pub's connection to Edmonton's local history adds an extra layer of charm, making it not just a place to eat, but a spot to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Overall, Fort Road Pub & Grill is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a good meal and a friendly atmosphere. With a little fine-tuning, it could easily become a favorite spot for many!

If you are looking for a great lunch at a low price, this is a great bang for your buck. I arrived and there was plenty of parking in their lot. It is located right on Fort Road just off the yellowhead and it was very convenient to access. The staff was friendly and quickly offered drink and food menus. When taking our order she mentioned a unique special that quickly changed my order. East coast style fish and chips. With dressing, gravy and so many little side dishes. Salsa, coleslaw, and a herb mayo. The atmosphere was cozy, I loved the John Wayne sketch on the wall and I noticed they have Ryan Reynolds- Aviation Gin as well. I couldn't believe the price of the bill when it arrived. Both our meals and drinks together were half what I paid for a single meal a few days prior. Great prices and service, this is my new go to on the North side of Edmonton.

The Fort Pub and Grill will surprise you. It is beautiful inside and most of the restaurant/pub is comfy booths. Music is at an acceptable level during the day so you can actually communicate with others at your table at lunch. Good happy hour from 2-6. I love that happy hour starts earlier than 5. The food is absolutely wonderful. They use all AAA beef. The beef dip is the best I have had. The fish and chips are good. They serve Borscht which is rare in pubs and I absolutely love Borscht. I had a burger and it was just sublime. I usually don't enjoy burgers and rarely order them but I thought, everything else is good...sure glad I tried it. Fries are different but very good. Portion sizes are great and pricing is decent. I have been 4 times and will make it a regular on our rotation of a few favorite places. Service needs a bit of work. Having to get up to go get waitress's attention when only 2 tables is annoying. Another time, waitress was nowhere to be found, so I asked the other person eating Subway at the bar if she worked at Fort Pub and Grill., to which she replied yes. I asked her if she could let our server know we are needing some service. She just continued sitting there eating her Sub and basically brushed me off. The best service we have gotten at this Pub is from the bartender when he was our waiter, he was very engaging and attentive. I do hope the servers step it up because this is...

You asked what you could do to take the review from 4-5 stars. The place was not busy. There were maybe 4 tables including ours, and not big tables. There were two servers, I think one could have handled it if they were really working. Both hung out by the bar and ignored customers pretty much the whole time. I had the beef dip. I ordered the extra sauteed onions (the thing is already $22 and doesn't come with onions, you have to pay $2 extra for that). They forgot the onions, and we didn't see our server again after we got our food until we had been waiting to pay the bill for half an hour. It came without onions. I had to argue with the server to take the charge for onions off the bill as she refused to believe that I didn't get them, and she didn't check up on us after delivering the food. Also at my table was a woman who ordered a city cold with a shot of lime juice on the side. It came in the drink, and there was so much of of it that it was garbage. But we paid for it anyway. The atmosphere is not great. The service was crappy. The food order was wrong. In the end I had to fight to not pay for what I didn't get. I'd say 4 stars...
