Cute little vietnamese restaurant with some Thai and Chinese dishes. Located on the main strip of a small town, this brings back a lot of fond memories 😥 I have of when I was a kid. My folks would take us to a family restaurant like this one on the weekends and then we would walk up and down the strip to the various shops and then get ice cream. Those were simpler times when big box stores and the internet wasn't invented yet.
The service is super friendly. We were passing through Erin and found Pho Erin on Google maps with very good reviews. Decided to go in but as we approached, we saw a sign indicating that they weren't open for dine in just yet. As we turned away, the owner came out and greeted us. We explained that we couldn't get takeout because we had nowhere to sit down and eat so she invited us in. It is so amazing how friendly and welcoming folks are in a small town.
Now the food was awesome. Very authentic Pho and one of the best I've had from a restaurant in a long time. It's very comparable to what I make at home with my grandma's old recipe. It is said that the measure of a good vietnamese restaurant is the quality and authenticity of their bowl of pho.
I would definitely visit again and highly recommend foodies to...
Read moreI called the store to inform them about something I found in my cold roll. The person who took my call was VERY RUDE and lack of proper etiquette. Instead of listening to me, he hung up on me, so I called back. My intention was simply to provide feedback so they could be more careful when preparing food in the future.
The person on the phone claimed it was a lemongrass, I explained that, as an asian i'm very familiar with lemongrass, as it's a staple in our dishes. I called back again to express my disappointment with how I was treated. Instead of acknowledging my feedback, he accused me saying " what do you want? we can't compensate you since this happened in the past " his own word. First, I never asked for compensation, I was just providing honest feedback, and I was polite and calm when I called. I will definitely not returning to this restaurant, and as a side note your prices are quite high. I'm still being generous by giving you a one star rating If there were an option for a zero or negative start, I would have chosen that...
Read moreI am so surprised to see the ratings of this place. I paid over $60 for three dishes and an appetizer and the quality was not even close to being worth it.
The pad Thai was an almost solid lump of rice noodles and needed to be cut through to eat, thrown out almost immediately.
One dish was not what I ordered and smelled heavily of fish when I requested all vegan. When I phoned to double check, I was assured even though it is not what I ordered, it was vegan and that they make it to mimic non vegan tastes, but this was so pungent I am not comfortable believing that.
My two stars are for the fried rice, which was good.
While the restaurant was apologetic, friendly and offered me a credit, based on the quality, I won’t be visiting again, even...
