I'm reviewing the Angus location, but since they don't have their own Yelp page, I figure I'll post it here...
Dude.... their homemade jam. I have never in my life been a jam fan until this past weekend when I got to try theirs. I even sent my sister back to buy me a jar because I NEED THIS JAM IN MY LIFE. ALL THE TIME. I have a trailer just around the corner from Angus and this past Canada Day weekend we all ate there each morning we were there (three times). The first morning, I got the steak eggs benedict. It wasn't the BEST steak-benny I've had, but it was good, and not bad for the price. My only complaint is that 4/6 eggs-benny choices involve spinach. :( I"m okay with spinach, but would LOVE an option with other greens such as asparagus! I ordered my eggs medium, got them medium! I dipped all my homefries into the jam. The second morning, I got my sister to bring me back a chicken caesar wrap which was great. It was big enough where I could eat one half and save the other half for lunch... I dipped my french fries into the jam. Said sister brought back a jar of jam for me to take home to Toronto. The third day, I order the meat-lover's breakfast with an extra serving of breakfast sausages. Ate every bite. Ordered my eggs over-easy, got my eggs over-easy. Dipped my home-fries into the jam. Basically, I dipped everything I could into the jam, and I've had toast and jam every day since I got back home. .... I'm almost out of jam. I WILL BE...
Read moreWe’ve been here a number of times, but today felt a little different. The quality of the food has gone down, while the prices have gone up. My husband ordered the chicken Caesar fries and there was a lack of chicken, and the cheese used on it was low quality bagged shredded cheese that wasn’t melted. Random dollops of Caesar dressing on it. It was bizarre. I ordered the mushroom florentine crepes that stated it came with hollandaise. It came with a tiny amount so I asked if I could have a bit more. Our server said she’d bring us a side of hollandaise. I asked if this would be a chargeable item and she simply said “yes” with a straight face and stared at me, almost waiting for me to question why she’d charge us for more when my dish hardly had any on it. A tiny ramekin of hollandaise showed up, and it was FOUR DOLLARS. I’m telling you, it was about 2 ounces of hollandaise. I know the cost of food has gone up, but that is just...
Read more2022 September: 3/5 -waited for almost an hour...potatoes were cold (2/5), eggs (2/5) were cold, fries (3/5) were bland, the other food (burger (4/5), steak (4/5), turkey bacon (4/5) was fine overall (some minor issues but nothing worth mentioning)...from my perspective it appears that they just forgot our order or cooked part of it and it got cold while they did the rest later on. I get it was a busy weekend so the wait did not bother me that much, the cold food however...was not impressed, will not return.
Might post pics of the food later, overall it looked fine, just not happy with cold eggs among other things...(did not feel like asking to reheat it since it took so long to get our food in the first place)...
Service staff were very friendly though and were constantly serving...
